Starting to look a lot like Christmas! Two trees up so far, snowflakes from the ceiling, candy everywhere.
Knick knacks galore still to come, building our greenery planters lol, we will see how that goes in the morning and baking! I love Christmas! Only blew the fuses once so 😂

We are celebrating our Chica’s 11th birthday today! The first pic is that she was up for adoption in 2013 and then her now. Getting pretty white faced. Happy birthday to our girl!

20 years ago we found a little white fluffy cat in the woods while camping. He ate our hotdogs and cheerios before jumping in our car and adopting us. He was the reason I started volunteering at rescues, the reason I started working at vets and the inspiration to start my own pet services businesses.
Tonight after 20 years we have Pinters our final kisses and loves. He passed away peacefully in our arms in his favourite napping spot on our deck. Our hearts are broken but so filled with the love we have for him. He was the best cat. My heart hurts.

As restrictions lift and people start to travel again, everyone will be looking for a caring & loving place for their dogs. Sadly there will be situations like this that should never happen. My heart hurts for the dog.

I love the heat, but I always remember our furry critters need help staying cool during these times. Make sure you have water available, shade and don’t exercise then at the height of the heat. We can all enjoy these temps together, just do it safely.

Omg I love old man Pinters so much.
He ate when Chris came down. Then when I came down more soft food and lactose free milk (old man can’t handle real milk). But when I make lunches he spends his time pawing my leg for cheese, popcorn twists, deli meat, whatever is on the kid's lunches. He got so tired in between he just fell asleep while sitting then slowly started snoring and laid right down. Now kitty snoring and sleeping in the middle of the kitchen.

I got a bittersweet gift today. Pippa, Frankie and Lulu are moving to the west coast. I will miss them so much along with their parents. I had the privilege of looking after the three girls and their sister who past, Gracie.

Our crazy Chica girl. Opens the pantry to help herself. Opens the baby gates as no where is off limits. Has an ongoing fence war with our neighbour’s doggie. Tries to dig holes in the flooring when the thunderstorms hit. Screams if we try to pick her up. Yet....we still love the nutter.

I love Sadie. When she doesn’t want to go out for a p*e break she squints and pretends she can’t see me. Like if she can’t see me I can’t see her and will just leave. 😂🤣

Ahhh the -26c outfit. Pants, snow pants, tshirt, long sleeve shirt, hoodie, winter jacket, fleece hat, snuggly socks, boots and gloves. If I have to dress like this to keep warm then it’s too cold to take your dogs for a walk. Keep them inside!
