Our Dogsitting Facility is an alternative to the traditional kennel. Located on 21 acres of peaceful countryside near Cayuga, ON. Dogs are screened prior to booking to be sure that we are a good fit for your pup. We strive to provide a low stress, quiet homelike environment where dogs can relax and have fun! Dog care provided by Cathie Wheeldon - an experienced Dog Trainer, and Dog Care Profession

al! Hug-a-Pup began in 2002 as occasional puppysitting for students from McCann Professional Dog Trainers, and snowballed into a full-time Dogsitting business. Space is very limited, so book early! Whether for an overnight, or a few weeks, give your favorite pup a "Hug-a-Pup vacation"!

Fun in the Sun! 😎⛱️

It’s time to make plans for your dog’s visits this spring and summer before our schedule fills up! 📆 The months of July and August are especially busy, so let us know if you have some travel plans and we’ll get you booked in.

We have limited availability for the remaining spring months if you have some dates you’d like to look at as well - just message us here!

Our family is actually working on our own vacation plans right now! 😊 We’ll be closed while we’re away - likely mid July - but we’ll plan around our Dogsitting visitors as best we can. We’re excited to take a few days at a cottage to relax and hang out with our own dogs, Zoinks and Retro! 🐾🐾
