Vicious kitties
Sometimes I wonder how or why kittens can be so vicious with each other. As they get bigger they bite harder and let me tell you, it hurts and they can draw blood. They are supposed to rest after spay/ neuter surgery, but sometimes it’s hard to stop them. Today I’m going to separate them and put them in different rooms to rest. Little Myo is under the weather. @he was neutered Friday and had an umbilical hernia repair. He didn’t do well Friday night, but by Saturday he seemed fine. Sunday he was playful and was eating . This morning there’s vomit in his room and he’s not eating. He’s been asleep since 7 am and I finally woke him to see if he’d eat. He ate a little bit of kibble. Wasn’t interested in playing or eating canned food. We are at the vet making sure he is going to be ok. It could be the metacam (pain relief) that made him sick? Better safe than sorry.
Manners
Still working on manners with Dallas, kitten. How is her mom Dotty so sweet and gentle , and then Dallas so full of catitude? She is a character and sure keeps us entertained. Binx is back to the farm where he was trapped and neutered. We have him a couple months to decide if he’d rather be an indoor social cat, but he was very very unhappy being confined .Today I brought him back to his farm home and after a minute he k ew where he was. Myo and Mouse
Meet Myo a 13 week old kitten, male - that is easy going and fun loving .
Meet Mouse - female of aprox 6-7 months - loves her kitty friends.

Myo is a playful little guy of 3 months of age. He follows my senior cat Princeton , even out into the catio . This little guy came to us with an eye injury that is now resolved. He can see, and monitor treatments necessary. Whopper
Whopper is a big baby. He gets underfoot trying to get my attention to stop and pet and play.
He climbs into my lap every time I sit down. He’s just an all around wonderful boy.
His sister Weka is more calm and gentle and sweet. She loves to be picked up and cuddled.
These two will be a great addition to most any home.
They are 10 weeks old and ready for adoption.

Wow , Mouse is on an adventure. She has followed Princeton out into the catio.
I’m so thrilled she’s feeling so much better . It’s been three weeks since her surgery, to remove all her teeth , for Stomatitis.
Once she’s eating consistently, and her glands are not swollen , indicating infection, she will be ready to find a forever home.

Tiffany
It’s with a very sad sad heart that I announce the passing of Tiffany , a 7 month old kitten .
Tiffanys story is a long one, but I’ll try and make it brief.
I got a call a few months ago that a lady found Tiffany in her driveway in Carleton Place? She looked clean and healthy but the lady said she smelled like skunk and so bathed her.
I said I could help Monday but to call animal control first.
Next morning I get a message saying she lost the kitten and thinks it died in the furnace heat vent. This was in May.
The next thing that happened was is I get a call from a vet saying a lady came in with a kitten in critical condition from going into a heat vent. I told the vet to have the lady sign a surrender form and I’d be by shortly. This was the same lady and she’d brought in Tiffany saying that I said I’d take the kitten.
The vet clinic was not an emergency vet and closing soon because it was a Saturday/
Tiffany had burns and swelling above her eye brow, burns on the pads of her feet, burnt whiskers, patches of burns all over her body, a broken tooth, split lip and she was in shock, and pain
How could this be from going into a furnace air duct work? Something is very wrong.
How did she get the swelling above her eye? How are her whiskers burnt off? How does she have sporadic burns on her body ? All paws burnt? Split open lip and broken tooth?
We’ve spoken to a couple furnace specialists and there’s no way this happened in the furnace .
I rushed Tiffany to an emergency clinic where she stayed for 3 days to the sum of $3,000.
We got her stable and I brought her home. Then she declined again , each day she’s start out seeming fine, but then decline.
animal welfare took Tiffany into custody and provided her with excellent vet care and tests.
Besides the burns and bruising, turns out she had a liver shunt causing her several issues.
For the last month she’s been with animal welfare and receiving 3 medications and was stable and doing w

Kittens are hyper this morning, that’s for sure.
It’s interesting that they have paired off with the sibling that is identical to themself. Does that mean they are two sets of twins?
Weka (f) and brother whopper are the black kittens and inseparable.
Whippet and Wolfy are brothers and also can be found together 24/7.
It would be fantastic if they found homes together in pairs. I always endeavour to find bonded pairs homes together.
