Saturday is always a busy vet day and here are Don Pedro, Angelita, Mixi, Capitan, Kenia and Candy.
Routine check ups, vaccines, treatments, vet visits happen all week and weekend.

Santa arrives tomorrow for our annual pet photos and he will have some gifts for our dogs that attend, Santa brought back some mini sombrero's and shirts a few weeks ago to represent their homeland.
We hope to see many again and meet many new people and their 4 legged family members.
Tomorrow is the official kick off to the holidays with Santa.

To celebrate Friday, here's an awesome story.
Not only was there a special day for this couple but there was no doubt from the start of planning, who was going to play a big part in the day, and that is Benji.
Congratulations to Tristan, Nicole and Benji.
There was a day when Benji (then Chuby) was an unwanted dog living in the streets of Puerto Vallarta but 4,000 kms away from here in Vancouver, now he's the centre of his family's universe.
There are many reasons to get involved in helping rescue animals but the incredible impact they have on our lives is very powerful one.
Congratulations to you all.

Here's Lia, who is in Vancouver and loving her time with her foster mom, who loves having her so while we work on Pinkys adoption and now Stuart, Lia will be up next.
Until then then just loves being anywhere her foster mom is and wearing the new sweaters made for her.

Good morning from Pinky, he's had a busy week just being his awesome self and finding his family.
Pinky is now adoption pending as we are in the progress adoption.
Until then he's will continue to chase squirrels and play with friends but his day is soon approaching.

Here's Kenia, after her vet visit and having a nap in front of a fan.
She's definitely more comfortable now, it took Meche 2 weeks to rescue her and after a couple days snuck out and ran but she then returned later scratching at the door to come in. That was a moment she seemed to understand this rescue thing.
When I saw her a few weeks ago she was timid around new people but since, Meche said her confidence keeps growing.
She's a sweet girl who was on her own for a while and it's nice to see her learn to trust and completely relax to enjoy a bed and a fan.
There's many more great things to come Kenia.

Only 1 more week until Santa arrives to take pics with your dogs, or cats, or rabbits, we've had all 3.
It's our annual event that is a fundraiser which helps so much but also a lot of fun to share the holiday season with your 4 legged family members.
We hope to see many of you again and see others for the first time.

On Nov 8th we introduced our new rescue Candy, although safe she was very nervous and was reluctant to eat for days, she just was scared so Josefina made sure she slept on the bed close to her to give comfort but it was Saul, one of the boys who helps do much, that gave her the comfort she needed.
Saul spent time with here, one on one, patiently sat with her, played, and comforted her and it didn't take long for Candy to come out of her shell.
Now playing with other dogs and comfortable to go in tbe car, there's her and Saul at our vet and she's now able to start her vet protocol.
Gracias Saul for your compassion to animals and making a huge difference in Candy's life.

Let's finish the week with an amazing story, It's time to congratulate Lolo on his adoption.
His family had waited quite a while for his arrival and the wait was worth it, he bonded right away with his new dog best friend, the 3 boys in the family and his new mom and dad.
Lolo fit right in is very loved.
The last pic was when we introduced him and now he has gone from that day to having his own family.
You did it Lolo, you deserve this and we are so happy for you and your family.

I still have lots to share from last week in Puerto Vallarta, and here's Don Pedro, just one of the coolest guys you'd ever meet.
He loves to sit by the door and look out, he may think he's security?
He's the best, lived 6 years of neglect, lost most of his vision but when we got him we were able to help that, and now he's the king of Valle Dorado, he moves at the slowest pace but he's Don Pedro and can do what he wants.

Here's Stuart and we are now working on getting him used to things normal here but not for him, there busy streets downtown, all the people and dogs, cars. It's a lot and he's getting used to it a bit more each walk.
However the one thing he had no problem adjusting to, is bedtime and how to get comfortable.

Lots going on here with adoptions but let's enjoy an update on Billy and his great life.
Its been about 3.5 years since hos adoption day and he's still living his hikes, runs, playing and is also now a big brother to 2 kids, who he adores.
Billy just loves the outdoors and his family, he gets every outdoor adventure he could want and has the family he always dreamed of.
Living your best life Billy, we are so happy for you.
