We have exciting news in Vancouver, Lia is adopted and has her forever family.
This girl was extremely popular and for good reason, she's such a sweet dog.
Within 3 days of posting her for adoption we were overwhelmed with applications, so many great people and families wanted to adopt her, I've been trying to reach out to all of you to update and thank you for wanting to give her a home.
There's always more amazing dogs needing forever families so please keep looking into adopting.
Lots and lots happened over the last month and more great moments coming up in both Puerto Vallarta and Vancouver.

Here's Miguelito's first pic in Vancouver, he arrived last night, was great on the flight and made it to his foster home where he was greeted by another one of our dogs, Rubi.
Miguelito is in for a lot of love and affection there, and ill share more on him very soon.

Miguelito is about to fly to Vancouver and here's he us with Meche, Josefina and our flight volunteer Michaela.
Michaela was a patient care assistant that took care of my Noel almost a year ago and helped give him 3 more great months. She had said she wanted to fly a dog and then I received an email with a travel date and request to help.
And that's how Miguelito is making it to Vancouver.
All rescues, dogs and flights are special but this one means a little extra to me as my precious Noel is part of the story and helps give Miguelito a family of his own too.

Here's Candy, Mixi and Angelita waiting for Josefina to return from across the street.
It's hard to believe 2 weeks ago Candy was shy and nervous but she knows she's safe and her personality and jumping skills have come out.
All 3 are such great dogs, Angelita flys to Vancouver next week and we plan for Mixi and Candy to at a later date.

Hola from Candy, here she is today and the first time I've met her as she was rescued a few weeks ago.
Her confidence has grown a lot, and she barked at me and the camera often at first but then as I just let her meet me in her terms, she started to approach often and then ask for some affection.

About A Dog Rescue Society
Our rescue, based in Vancouver BC was started in October 2018. Our team has worked together previously to rescue and re-home dogs and we decided to take our passion and create a group of our own.
Our dogs come from various backgrounds, some as simple as owner surrenders, and others coming from situations of neglect and abandonment. We currently work with an amazing rescue group in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and hope to further expand our rescue efforts worldwide. Our rescue knows no boundaries.
We are a registered non-profit and rely solely on donations. Every penny raised goes straight to the dogs or towards spay/neuter clinics and initiatives.
We do not have a shelter so we rely on a small group of wonderful volunteers and foster families to care for our dogs, conduct home visits, spread the word, and help us organize events.
We are a ethical, honest and transparent rescue, we would be happy to answer any and all of your questions about our dogs or how donations are spent.
