I recently found out Ontario has 1 court appointed therapy dog.
These dogs play a vital role to children and victims of abuse having to face their attacker/attackers in court.
I never thought about it before, but it makes perfect scense.
The sad part is, 1 appointed therapy dog clearly isn't enough.
We need more therapy dogs overall.

Another beautiful day at The Windham House with a few of our furry friends ❤️🐶☀️ We work hard at balancing the pack. We are experts in dog socialization training and often don't give ourselves enough credit for what we do and how we board our guest dogs. We have supervised structured play, no dog is stressed. We are constantly training the dogs in the yard, teaching the dogs healthy play behaviour & manners. Sadly some naysayers feel we just stick the dogs all together and "hope for the best" 🙄Or we whip the dogs to be quiet, 🙄 Just shows how much people don't know and make assumptions of what they think they see and want to judge. If they want to believe and be haters, they'll always find something negative in their minds to bash a business. We have been thanked by 100's of happy clients over the years letting us know how well their dogs behave around other dogs after being at Windham House Pet Services Inc. for a boarding or daycare stay. We have nothing to hide, drive by and see all our dogs in the yard playing, you can come into our facility and have a meet & greet with your pup! Happy New Year and Thank you!

Wow can’t believe it’s going to be 11 years in March since we opened The Windham House. The time has just flown by so fast,it feels like we just started our journey as everyday brings new and exciting change in this business.

Over the years we’ve met some pretty awesome clients, and we’ve been lucky enough to be able to board their furry and feathered friends! Trusting us with their pets is something we take pretty serious.

Our concept is simple “What would we like if we were to board our pets?” We wanted our pets to be in a clean, safe and happy enviourment. We wanted professionally trained staff caring for our pets, so the stress of being away from your loved one is gone from both owner and the pet. We wanted plenty of hands on and also a place to play and have fun. We wanted an enviourment that is stress free and welcoming.

There are plenty of boarding “kennel’s” to look after your pet(s), however we wanted to be different. Why? Because why follow someone’s path when you can make your own path and have other’s follow you? In our hearts it has to feel right, we wanted to get away from the stigma of “traditional boarding”. We didn’t like it, so how was our pets going to like it?
