Amazing Horse Country Relational Horsemanship: Positive and Practical
Trail, Obstacle, Starting, Liberty and more. Scott's philosophy is simple: the horse only has one job.

It's a job the horse is instinctively great at and can take pride in. That job isn't to be submissive, obedient, nor does it require control. It can be assisted with a soft approach. That job is simply to follow. And thus, the onus is on us to inspire our followers; to provide them not only with the tools to do the job but provide exceptional leadership in a way they naturally understand it. In Sc

ott's style, training and riding become a positive and successful experience for both horse and rider; a journey in which we master skills as trusted leaders and great communicators. Scott offers a unique understanding of relational horsemanship blended with a passion for the outdoors. It's a successful combination which has Scott sought out to assist with wild horse programs, equine assisted learning, cowboy challenge associations, trail riding clubs and more. His sold out clinics continuously earn praise from individuals and riding organizations alike.

Sunday Question...

Would you walk into a car dealership and buy a car on the spot without doing your due diligence on specifications?

If you answer No, then if you are a horse rider, would you do it for a saddle for your horse?

Before you buy that new saddle, take the saddle that came with your new horse, or outfit your new c**t for a new saddle....

Why not join us here, at Amazing Horse Country Ranch, April 26-27, 2025 for our 2nd Annual Saddle Fitting Clinic.

Details in the attached poster.

Up in Barrhead for a clinic!
The first thing I do when I set up my horse trailer for the night - after I get the furnace going that is - is put out this picture of Belle and Spud. Yeah it's sentimental. But it means a lot.

I ♥️ my flower arrangements. I got them from my sister's family and my "love bug" Ditch, both wishing me a Happy 50th Bday.

I want to thank everyone who sent me Bday wishes. That was very kind of you and very much appreciated. 🥰
Half a century is a big deal.

Thank you...😘

Someone (Leona) had a big birthday and her horse got her flowers. Wasn't that kind? Horses are awesome 🥰🐴🐴🥰🥰

Ideas needed!!
🛁 🚿 What is Leona doing in the bathtub out in the forest? 🚿 🛁
All kidding aside, it's a functional jet tub. I'm thinking it would make a good obstacle...or even parts from it.

I think it's important that a horse enjoys their time with you, and what you do together. Jerry is really enjoying getting out on the trail. And not just because we stopped for a snack while Leona adjusted her saddle. 🤣🤣.

When riding horses, a common expectation is that the rein or aid should control the horse's body or prompt a specific movement. Sound familiar?
Technically, it's not the case. And a shift in this mindset allows us to open the door to true success and really understand our horse. In theory, it's simple. In practice, it's not hard either. Tonight's show gets us going in that direction. It's all about the rein. See you at 7PM! Details here: https://loom.ly/aUFURXA

Question for you:
Tuesday's live show is all about the rein.
We connect reins to various devices near the horse's mouth. Not their ears or their neck or wherever else.
Why? Do you know?
