It is with a heavy heart that our dear friend Markie has passed away over the rainbow bridge. Markie spent most of his life outdoors and was cared for by a compassionate elderly lady who took care of many stray cats. Unfortunately she passed away leaving Markie without any help. Markie found his way to my good friend who took care of him over the last few years. Markie refused to go into the house for the first few years and remained an outdoor cat until he finally decided that it was too cold outside and came into the house and stayed in the basement for months. He eventually found comfort with his new home and became part of his new family. In the past 4 months he was diagnosed with liver disease which there was no cure. He received respite care from his family. I am so happy Markie was taken into a loving family home where he spent his last 4 years. I have been his cat sitter over the years and have had the opportunity to spend so much time with him. He was an amazing cat. My heart hurts and I will miss him. He will always remain in my heart and my thoughts. My sincere condolences to who was the best dad ever to Markie.
