⚠️⚠️ Update ⚠️⚠️

As many of you know I have put Poochy Threads on hold due to my health.
Well I finally have some answers as to what I am dealing with and it is much more than I thought it would be.

I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease a few weeks ago.
I still can't believe I finally have an answer
&
I'm still trying to come to terms with this and the recovery ahead is really scary.

Some days are very dark and the pain makes me really depressed. It basically feels like your old self is dead and the thought of ever being able to do those things again is scary and so sad.

I have always been open with my health issues (mental health especially) and I don't do this for attention. I do this so those who are dealing with something similar know they aren't alone.

So with all this being said,
Poochy Threads is most definitely on hold until my health is better. Who knows when that will be....

It makes me so sad because I don't know the future of my small business.
The fact I made it as far as I did with everything is such an amazing feeling but the loss of everything really sucks.
I feel like I failed and I say that all the time. I have lost my identity and the one thing I really loved to do.
The lack of success is an awful feeling. It's worse than the physical pain I deal with daily.

I have always considered my customers/ambassadors as friends and the grief of losing that as well is really rough. It feels like I am alone and so isolated.
I look at my wall of friend's letters and photos and it makes me sad knowing I have lost touch with many of you.
It reminds me I am loved but also it hurts to know I might never get notes and photos again. The wall will stay in the past much like my old self...

I really hope to be back one day but for the time being I need to take care of my health.
We will see what the future holds. I just have to stay strong and believe it will be better in time.

May 12th is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
This is the chronic illness I have lived with for over 15 years. Somedays it takes my joys away but in that I find strength.
As some of you know, I have Poochy Threads on HOLD for the time being as I get myself well again. I have been in this vicious cycle before. I believe burn-out plays a huge factor. I spend many days feeling as if I am a failure. I always have this happen... I am on top of the world, only to fall down and struggle to get back up. The unknown is so scary. I'm hanging on to my small business in hopes I can return, as I feel it is my identity. When I can't do the work I love, it causes me great sadness and depression. The fact is: I am in pain, tired and frustrated. I don't know if I will ever get that identity back. It's like morning my former self and it's so difficult.
There is a reason we are called 'Fibro Warriors', because this battle is so very long and hard.
Please take some time today to research this chronic illness. 💜

⚠️ PLEASE READ! ⚠️

I have decided to open my Etsy for the time being. I have decided to just keep the most popular items available there. I am still working on a website but want to be able to have new customers find my shop.
I thought it was the easiest thing for me to do... by only offering a few items, I can spend more time making new products and working on my website.

The hold on my Etsy is FINALLY gone so I am praying it doesn't happen again. I will not be putting full stock in my Etsy. I just don't want to lose potential customers or all my pawsome reviews! 🌟

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something!

Here are the first bandanas I made to sell in 2019... I can't believe how much I have improved their design over the years.
I find myself knowing a lot more about sewing than I did before. It's great to learn new things!

TEMPORARILY CLOSED ⛔ Please Read:

For those who are unaware, I have been dealing with health issues for sometime now, including shingles and now I need gallbladder removal surgery. This came after dealing with Etsy holding my funds (which they still are).
I had to make a decision I did not want to make and cancel all pending orders. This made me feel terrible as I know many were for Christmas or gifts. I can not tell you how much sleep I have lost over it.
I have always put others before me and I think my body is telling me it is time for a break and to take care of myself.

I will be taking time to rest and recover and when I am able to I will be working on a new website as I no longer wish to stay with Etsy after what they did to me.

I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. Please keep in touch and I will be back in the new year and better than ever! 😊

Announcement 📢

Hi everypawdy,

As some may know, my Etsy shop has been placed on a reserve and Etsy is holding 75% of my funds for 45-90 days. I have been very stressed out with the financial hardship it has put me in. I have hit a wall and can no longer keep Poochy Threads open for the time being.

Also, I was diagnosed with Shingles today, which I no doubt blame for. I have never been this sick in my life and I am trying to stay strong.

I am going to finish the orders I have right now and I will be closing my shop for future orders until the new year effective December 1st.

This is a really hard decision because this is my only job and I love what I do. I will keep my human apparel up as it is dropship and sent from another warehouse, so I don't have to work on those orders but they will still be available to you all. This includes the Festive Dog Mom sweatshirts. 🎄

I will be working on my new site as soon as I have the time to sit down and do it. I am hoping to open back up in the early new year sometime.🙏

I appreciate all of your support and understanding and I hope to keep in touch until then. 💖
