Thanks to all the lovely ladies who came out Friday for the second Ladies Night at the arena. We had a very festive group in there Christmas sweaters and enjoyed a few laughs up in the mezzanine after with the hot chocolate bar. Looking forward to hosting a few more of these nights over the winter months. Please reach out if you are wanting to know more. I can see the next theme being palm trees and margaritas haha.

Thanks to everyone purchasing mineral last week. I will put in another order more for cattle this time. I will have all the Equilix and EquiPride on hand also.
There is a sale on the cattle tubs right now so if you would like to stock up please pm me and I can get that done for you. For anyone getting ready to wean some calves they have a tub called Kaf starter and it is a little softer and more palatable for them to get started before they move to the 16 and 18. Would like to get the order in by tomorrow night if possible.

Great day yesterday at our tack sale. Moved a few things for sure. Going to keep it going for the weekend. Won’t start till later this afternoon today and all day Saturday.
Still putting a few things out as I go through the tack room. Sorry if I didn’t get back to everyone’s questions, it was hard to keep up while people were coming to look.

Well the tack sale got a little out of control haha I think we are at 12 saddles. Little bit of everything. Going to extend to sale to all weekend. Starts tomorrow, you can haul horse in if you want to try saddles on. Cash preferred but will take other methods of payment. You can bring tack and set up also. $20 vendor fee.

Walker is having a small concession to promote his running for King for the SRCA this month. Come see him and he can tell you all about. He is still looking for some sponsors as well.

Well I guess the cold is here to stay. The heater has been on in the arena.

Horses have moved to paddocks and everyone else is set up for winter. We have caught up on some jobs around the farm and some animals moved from pens to freezer. Hay is hauled for the most part and machines tucked away.

So I guess it is time for lessons to fire up. I have some open spots if there is some interest in trying something new, send me a message and I can get the schedule out to you.

We have enjoyed the girl guides from Melfort coming out and doing a farm tour and riding some horses and now the Nipawin Blazing Saddles 4H are moving in for the winter haha.
We have limited evenings and weekends open for birthday parties. Reach out if you have a group and would like to book.

I still have a couple open spots for boarding, not many but if you would like to keep riding this winter and don’t want to haul in the cold it may be a nice option for you.

Well I guess my long holiday is over! Not sure it was a holiday but I definitely took the summer off of lessons. After a great last year and a wonderful 1st Reedan Ranch horse show , the horses went out to pasture for the summer. Yesterday was my first day back at it and the young ladies that came definitely set the bar high! They came ready to work, I can already see the winter being busy learning new things. I am excited for some new bodies in the lesson program and teaching them all about riding, stable management, first aid and all the different disciplines we can can touch on.

I was gifted with the most beautiful portrait of one of the long time teachers Makita. This young lady captured every detail on her. We made the call that this summer was going to be her final. At the ripe age of 29 she has taught many young and old riders some tricks of the trade.
When the time comes I will definitely share her story a little more.
