June 13 is Missing Mutts Day. πΎ
If your dog escaped tomorrow, could they be found?
Here's your checklist:
β
Microchip β registered AND up to date
β
Collar with ID tag β even indoors
β
Recent photos β from multiple angles, showing unique markings, height, and other identifiable features
β
Check your fence for loose boards or places they can get through, ensure your gates latch properly, and check your dog's gear to make sure everything is sturdy and in good shape
Every year, millions of dogs go missing.
Most are never reunited with their families, not because they weren't loved, but because they were not prepared.
Take 5 minutes today. Check your dog's microchip registration. Update your phone number. Snap a few new photos.
It's the easiest thing you'll ever do that could bring your dog home.
We are featuring my Clyde in the photos who was a beloved mutt, German Shepherd/Lab/something cross. He was a runner so there were several times he got away and I could not find him. However we got lucky and always found him safe. But don't take any chances. We all want our dogs safe and happy with us.
Save this checklist. Share it with a dog parent who needs the reminder. π
