HAPPY DOG HAPPY LIFE; Why do I always say this and what do I mean?

There really are so many reasons behind this motto, and while it may mean something else to others, let me tell you the main reasons behind it and what I say it:

A truly happy dog is not JUST any dog. A happy dog is a well balanced dog that has been provided with training, structure, routine, exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, focusing on breed needs/strengths, plus SO much more.

A happy dog is one that gets to be prioritized, attended to, and genuinely cared for on a day-to-day basis.

There are an endless amount of ‘definitions’ to a happy dog. But the true meaning behind this is providing the lifestyle that your dog NEEDS. Not just what “fits your life”. Owning a dog often pushes dog owners out of their comfort zone, and that is okay. You and your dog create a much stronger bond through pushes past comfort levels and growing together as a team.

One of the leading factors to behavioural issues in canines is lack of routine, exposure, structure, and boundaries. With these concepts being established, your dog can and will be the best version of themselves. ☁️🐾

SAY HELLO TO AUGIE! 🧡

As many of you know, Augie is a very close client of mine who I have trained, boarded, and shared a lot of time with. Him and Odis are like brothers as you can see in the pictures and videos. He is truly one of my closest canine pals, which means his parents and I only want the best for him.

Augie is ONE OF A KIND! And I mean it…

When you heart that howl, there’s no way you can miss him!!!!

He is full of love, health, and happiness. 🌞🐕🎉

Let me tell you a little more about Augie:

➡️ Dog selective, has many doggy friends but requires proper introductions
➡️ Great with people, can get overstimulated around young children if bothered
➡️ He is a pretty lazy dog, although still requires daily exercise and a dedicated handler
➡️ No allergies, loves food
➡️ Leash reactive to dogs, no introductions on a leash

Not a winter wonderland, a Tinker wonderland. ☃️🐾

The one, the only, the beautiful TINKER enjoying our time outdoors together. We soak up this hour like a week long vacation…🤭

Training together is not only fun for the dogs, but it’s fun for me, the trainer, who gets to watch and observe a variety behaviours change over time — whether that is positively, negatively, or not at all. Each and every dog that I work with is SO different, and that’s what makes my job so special! ✨

It was sunny and beautiful, perfect walking weather when dressed properly! Us dog trainers, walkers, etc., know how to layer up. 👏🏼☃️

Molly is still such a baby and has progressed so well thus far with leash skills, basic mannerisms, and prong training. She will also be in for recall/off-leash. 🐶

For most people, life in their early 20s consists of moving away to school, partying, navigating what you are going to dedicate your soul to, and finding the person you want to become.

For me, my early 20s have looked a little different. I have been blessed with the gift of co-existing and working alongside canines. Getting to own them, train them, motivate them, and create a stable lifestyle for them.

Many people would not choose this way of life; the 24/7, 365 day schedule with live animals. Personally, I would choose this way of life over and over again. This is the way of life that has dug me out of the deepest holes and made me a much stronger human. They have not only challenged me, but they have changed me. They have helped me appreciate the little things; relationships with others, a roof over our heads, good food and unlimited access to fresh water, plus so much more.

2023 and 2024 have been some of the most challenging years of my life thus far. Overcoming personal challenges, heartbreak, loss of friends, and learning to navigate life ALL BY MYSELF.

To my teenage self that barely thought she would make it to her 20s, you did it, you’re here, and you’re safe. The only person that needs to believe in you is YOU. You are what determines your goals, future, and success. I am extremely proud of the person I have become and that is something that no one can take from me. 🔒

I have found what sets my soul on fire. 🔥

This is only the beginning…🖤

PRONG COLLARS AND E-COLLARS: 2 controversial training methods within the world of dogs. Like many things in the dog world, the stigma behind different concepts can give a bad rep to the whole idea — such as training methods…

These fact sheets are basic information for beginners that are interested in learning more about these training tools. ✅

You either like them, or you don’t. Not everything is going to be justified by everyone, and that’s okay…as long as you educate yourself on proper use and effect on these gadgets, your dog can benefit greatly.

As many of you know, I am all for these training tools. As I continue to grow and expand my experience with canines, these tools have positively influenced each dog that has used them under my observation. 👀
