⚠️URGENT⚠️
if you've been following us, we posted about multiple dogs and cats with euthanasia dates. We have been given small extensions on all of the immediate dogs🐕 and Carlie the cat 🐈 however, we can't get an extension on LEONARDO (Leo)

So right now our focus is on LEO. Please be patient with us if you've put in applications for the other animals 🐾.
At this moment ⏰Leo's life is a priority to us.
🚨We have until 4pm⏰Monday December 18 to tell the shelter we have placement for Leo.

Leonardo is not 🚫 a bad dog.
He needs the right home 🏡 though.
We can't let this guy be a euthanasia statistic for 2023.

This is coming down to the wire ⏰and we are also looking at the possibly boarding him until we can find him the right fit.

*Previous owners said that he didn't like cats and they also said that he was jealous of other animals in the household

*Please note that Leonardo is not in our possession. He is in a shelter. We are a foster/adopter based rescue and in order to save him we require an approved application for Leonardo.

When you see a dirty cat:

🔺 Cats can tolerate hunger for up to a week on average, but cannot go no more than 2-3 days without water.

🔺 Cats are usually very clean, they groom themselves several times a day. If you see a cat that does not look clean, it is DEHYDRATED and has been so for many days.

🔺Their saliva glands are not functioning properly because they require moisture to groom their fur.

🔺 If you see a stray cat that looks dirty, DO NOT turn the other way or see it as disgusting, because it is suffering and probably hasn't had anything to eat or drink in a long time.

🔺 Find kindness in your heart to give it food and WATER🙏🙏🙏. The life of a homeless animal is not an easy one. It lives in constant fear of other animals and humans, and it has never known the comfort of a soft bed or a restful night’s sleep.

Helping a less fortunate being is the opportunity for you to become a better person and to make this a better world🙏.

This Thanksgiving, my hope is for everyone who reads this post to find it in your heart to go do something good for others who are less fortunate. Being thankful for your good fortune is simply not enough.

Update - she is being adopted today

Update -

She is now with us and going to be vetted in Thursday then will be going in to foster care

We have been asked many times to intake this cat from Lucknow in the last 10 days

Owner has stated that they cannot afford her care and wants to surrender

She is wandering outside and we all know what that will equal soon

She is about a year old

She is suspected to be one of many many many many many many generations from 1 cat, at 1 building in Lucknow, from who we have taken in many off spring, at various locations in town

Despite having no space open to foster I do have a space to spay on a Thursday - so it is time to stop the cycle at least

I have 1 cat in an isolation room, who came in with a cold, and
there is another cat in isolation in his own room, and
I am at capacity in the rehabbing ferals room

I don't yet have a skyscraper with isolation wards for all areas needed, such as: Isolation before initial vetting,
Isolation for post initial vetting,
Isolation for after booster, before, entering the general population

We NEED fosters

People keep tagging us,
People keep referring people to us day in and day out

Unfortunately without multiple additional adoptions and new fosters we simply cannot begin to intake everyone in need

You'd never know Willow was just rescued a few days ago from a local industrial plant !

Willow is a medium hair tortie 🐾
She's approx 7 weeks old.

She's $175 and this will include her spay when of age - rabies and FVRCP first shots , deworm , vet check -  flea and tick treatment ♥️

Update - she has a potential home lined up

Wed Oct 18th

Lovable, gentle, Murphy, from the pound, has finally got a foster.

They met him this morning (her and her darling lab) and Murphy kept wanting hugs.

He is going to join them as a foster with intent to adopt should all go well.

It is hard to believe that people don't look for their lost dogs at the pounds or in some cases do not want their dogs and actually discard them.

We don't know this boy's story but he more than served his time in the pound and then boarding - and though the rescue needs the extra bills like the world needs any more self centred people right now - we are happy that we were finally able to find him a spot.

We always need new foster homes for situations just like this.

We always need new foster homes for cats and kittens in similiar situations too.

Lots of people commented on the post, and it was shared hundreds of times, as you saw in Murphy's case yet not ONE signal person sent in a foster application for him.

The dangers of social media.

Anyway we are hoping Murphy does well and we will update on this page.

And yes we did fit him with a new collar and rescue tag after the successful meet and greet before he went off to start what we hope is just the beginning of a wonderful life.

Original post Sat Oct 14th

Murphy (the pound dog) has met 2 dogs so far, a small neutered male and a large spayed female with no issue

He also met an elderly cat today with no reaction

He has had no exposure to active cats or kids due to just being vetted yesterday

He knows to sit

He is still looking for a forever home

We DO require a dog adoption application in order to start the application process and book a meet and greet

I am currently waiting for his total bill to date

He is going to be resting up for the weekend to heal

I can make sure we are available Monday to do meet and greets should someone be serious about adoption

Keeping in mind he is a young, large breed, freshly neutered boy who will need some time to learn the ropes in a new environment

We know he was clean in his run

We don't know what he was used to in his former life but he is not a candidate for free roaming at this time for sheer common sense

He would need to be on a tie out if your yard isn't enclosed

Boundary and recall training is necessary for any dog new to a location

Marigold Update - She is not well, but we’re following the veterinarian’s advice and giving her as much care as we can. We have meds, sub-Q fluids, and enticing food. We have cuddles and encouragement. We still get purrs and she still kneads the pillow, but her tummy is upset. The new medication may help with that. Things were going really well and then she started to decline and now we’re just giving it all we can and when she can’t fight anymore, we will let her rest. Will update if anything changes. 🧡🤍🖤
