Hi and welcome to The Ridge!

We are Emily (left) and Rachel (right), the owners and operators of The Ridge!

We are friends who shared a vision of creating a space where dogs (and the occasional chicken) can play, eat, rest, train and feel like they’re at home. After years of dreaming and planning, we brought that vision to reality when we opened our facility doors in June of 2022.

Like many homes, we love to display photos of our furry friends. Behind us, you’ll see photos of all the dogs who have joined our Ridge family tree.

The Ridge strives to offer an all encompassing pet experience. We offer daycare, boarding, grooming, and training (coming soon).

Some fun and important facts about us:
• we are a women owned family business.
• we are both moms to little ones and dogs.
• we have five furry friends of our own and occasionally take on foster pets for local rescues.
• daycare operates Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. You can send your dog(s) for half or full days.
• Our daycare space has both indoor and outdoor play space and is divided into large areas where the dogs can run and play. We ensure dogs are separated by personality so that everyone is safe and happy.
• boarding runs throughout the year. Our boarding dogs participate in daycare during the days.
• we offer some grooming during daycare hours, and full grooms on Thursdays.
• basic training and obedience is worked on throughout your dogs stay with us. By popular demand, we are currently working on a basic obedience training manual.

The Ridge will be closed next week, July 17-21st for some much needed renovations! Our fence will be getting a complete makeover that week and we couldn’t be more excited 😆 Stay tuned for the big reveal.

🦷 TEETH CLEANING CLINICS!

We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting dog teeth cleaning clinics with Kissable K9 Care Inc!

The photos attached are of my own dogs (Raven, Gabby, and Oliver). The results speak for themselves and I can tell you from personal experience, their breath is fantastic after their appointment!

The staff at Kissable K9 are so welcoming upon arrival and make the dogs feel so at ease. Using relaxing and comfortable techniques, they are able to clean the dog’s teeth above the gum line without the use of anesthesia.

🗓️ Our first clinic will be on July 27th at The Ridge! Teeth cleanings are appointment based, so you will have to message us to secure a time slot. The cost is $189 + tax. We have EIGHT spots left! First available time slot is 10AM and last available time slot is 3:30PM.

L➡️R: Max, Oliver, Sullivan, Sir, Buddy, Sadie, Skipper, and Bruce

The Ridge is on the east side of Highway 6, just north of the 403/Waterdown area. We have regular friends that visit us for daycare from Ancaster, Milton, Carlisle, Waterdown, Dundas, and Burlington. As we continue to expand our client base and service offerings, we thank everyone for supporting us so far! We have a lot planned for our building in terms of renovations in the near future and can't wait to share our progress!

"We love sending our 1.5 y/o golden doodle Benson to The Ridge! The facility offers indoor and outdoor access for the dogs - with no shortage of structured activities that keep the dogs engaged during the day. The Ridges’ website is easy to use, includes helpful information and easy booking and payment options. The dogs are 100% supervised and it’s great to follow along and see daily updates on Instagram showcasing how much fun the dogs have. Benson always comes home exhausted. "We love ❤️ The Ridge! Max gets so excited when it’s a daycare day. He can’t wait to get out if the car to see his friends. He is absolutely happy and exhausted at the end of the day. "We have now had our dog at The Ridge three times. We have met both the owners. We find the place very friendly and good with the dog. She is happy to go there each time. And we get photo updates during the day while she is there. It is more expensive than some other places, but we like it and will use it again. We cant wait until they have kennel services as well."

We are a family-run dog daycare and boarding house north of Hamilton with a focus on creating an engaging space for dogs and their humans.
