Prairie Worm Works Prairie Worm Works aims to provide high quality vermicast and composting worms to gardeners and home composters in Southern Saskatchewan. They weren't wrong!

In the fall of 2012, David was gifted a small tub of worms by a friend who recognized that David was a promising "convert" to the world of worm composting. That humble herd of a few hundred worms has multiplied exponentially since then, faithfully turning food waste into rich, organic fertilizer (vermicast). In 2017, David's worm herd was bursting out of its bin. On a whim, David posted an online

ad, selling red wiggler worms (the most commonly employed vermicomposting worm) in the Regina area. The response was overwhelming. After selling out in 2018, David began making plans to expand operations to meet the obvious interest in vermiculture in Southern Saskatchewan. Prairie Worm Works was launched in January 2019, with the goal of providing high quality, microorganism-rich, nutrient-rich vermicast and healthy cultures of red wigglers in all stages of development (cocoon, hatchling, breeders). Prairie Worm Works is located in Regina, Saskatchewan and primarily serves Southern Saskatchewan. David lives on Treaty 4 territory in Regina with his partner, two children, and Boxer-Akita cross named Charlie. David is an Outdoor Education Middle Years teacher, avid cyclist, canoeist, amateur mycologist, worm farmer and vermi-vangelist!
