First paid Substack article is up!🥳

I've also signed up for a Substack workshop from my business coach. ☺️ I missed her previous workshop in which she taught writers to setup up a paid Substack and get paid for their writing. Some of them earned their investment right back. 🤫

I've been blogging for 6 years, (ghost wrote) published books, published my own ebook about Clicker Training Horses on Etsy (it's doing well) and my personal goal for 2025 is to do more paid writing!

I'm going to spent some time to train Odin and Fionn together at liberty so I can save time exercising them. I think it would be fun to do, a challenge as well (they can be resource guarding and food aggressive at times, so good preparation as well as a intelligent training set up is required)

Of course it doesn't look like anything yet, like is often the case with positive reinforcement training ;) We won't force our horses into the end goal behaviours. ;)

Deworming, I found that the most aversive part is not the taste (horses like bitter more than we do) but the fact that they are forced to eat something they are not trained or prepared to do.

In order to prepare my horses I train them to get oral medication (very handy in case they need something else than dewormer) and I give a Heads Up-signal (verbally), so they are mentally prepared that something (aversive or) unexpectedly is coming. I found it really helpful.
