Seems like yesterday I pic ked up my Magic Man Merlin almost 12 years ago. With a broken heart I held him for the last time today as he crossed over the rainbow bridge😭😭😭.

URGENT UPDATE - TRAVEL TO THE US

We regret to inform you that, at present, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is unable to endorse the required paperwork for pets traveling to the United States. As a result, no pets will be able to travel to the US after August 1st until the CFIA and the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) reach an agreement on the process.

The CDC Dog Import Permit, which was initially scheduled to become available today (July 15th), is still not live on the CDC website. We believe this delay is due to ongoing negotiations with the CFIA.

We will keep you updated as we receive more information. In the meantime, if you were planning to travel to the US with your pet after August 1st, we recommend making alternative arrangements. While we hope for a resolution before the deadline, we want to be transparent that we are not overly optimistic at this time.

The CDC offers a tool called DogBot to help determine the applicable rules for your dog's travel based on the travel dates and origin. However, please note that this information may change in light of recent developments.

PUPPY GODS....
I am asking for your help...
Help me make the right choices.
Help me know when to step in and when to just let it be.
Help me let mother nature have her hand in this.
Help me see the reason that wee puppy stopped breathing in my hands.
Remind me what I am looking for.
Remind me that I am doing this for me...not everyone else.
Remind me that I do know the type of dog I want.
Remind me not to be led down a different path.
Keep Showing me the love I get from these beautiful dogs.
Keep showing me the joy when one of my puppies help that special person.
Keep showing me the pride I feel when I see that smile on that child's face.
Keep showing me the excitement when they prove they learnt it.
Let me sleep when I am so worried.
Let me remember that these dogs are sometimes smarter than me.
Let me carry on when it just seems too hard.
Let me remember all the good times.
Comfort me when my heart is burning because I had to make that choice.
Comfort me when my sole mate is gone forever.
Comfort me when my old one can no longer retrieve that stick.
Comfort me when my friend goes to a new home.
Don't let me forget the times I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt.
Don't let me forget that smell of a new puppy.
Don't let me forget that humming sound of a litter of pups nursing.
Don't let me forget the ones who were here before.
Let my dreams be filled with watching them playing in the ocean and fields.
Let all my litters be healthy and strong.
Let my babies be loved forever.
Let the special ones find their special homes.
And if you can, dear puppy gods, please help me do some p**p scooping!!
