Heather is a certified pastry chef by trade and a restaurant & brewery owner for over 26 years. Barb is a hotel manager by trade and has been in the hospitality industry for over 29 years. Combined we have close to 70 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, hence our name, Two Spent Grains however; SPENT but not wasted.
The Brew'ed Biscuit journey began for us in 2015 when we decided to make spent grain dog treats to hand out as part of a tourism event we attended to promote Norfolk County. It was a simple idea with a simple recipe that we felt would showcase our partners and some of the many products Norfolk County has to offer. The Brew'ed Biscuits were a hit and we absolutely loved how happy and excited people got when they talked about their pets.
Our pets are so special and so very dear to us. Their love of us is simple, natural and pure, it makes us feel good and is good for us and we instinctively want to give that love back. We bake every Brew'ed Biscuit with that thought in mind and doing so has brought to our lives simplicity and goodness, something we also instinctively want to give back
