Planning a trip to the States? As of Aug 1, pets have to be:
- Microchipped 👇
- Over 6 months old
- Up to date on Rabies vaccine
- CDC form filled out by owner within 10 days of travel.

As of Aug 1, pets travelling to the States require a microchip before their rabies vaccination as well as a CDC health form. If your pet is not microchipped, we're happy to help.

We're in full swing when it comes to ticks.🤮 We've started seeing tick diseases such as tick paralysis and others.😲 If you need some tick preventatives, let us know and we're happy to help protect your pets!

Did you know…. Blacklegged ticks (the ones that can transmit the Lyme disease bacteria) can survive freezing temperatures? One way is that they create their own “anti-freeze” that helps them tolerate the cold!

However, a new study showed that when they are infected with certain bacteria, like the one that causes Lyme disease, they may be even BETTER at surviving our cold winters! Call your veterinarian to discuss the best tick control options for your pet.

We do book up quickly the month prior to days off, so it's best to call us as soon as you notice anything. We will be open for food and presciption sales and there will be some tech appointment availabilities for things such as nail trims and a**l gland expressions.

A new Canadian study has shown that a tick infected with Lyme disease is more likely to survive winter! We've personally seen Lyme disease in February so make sure your pets are protected, including cats that go outdoors!

We're excited to announce that we've finally found an after-hours emergency phone line that works for our area! 📞 We’ve been looking since we haven’t been able to provide after-hours call because we knew how stressful it is when your pets need help outside regular clinic hours.
