In losing you, we lost a legend.

The bones and heart that birthed Elite Canine Academy. A dream and a mission to teach and help as many dogs and owners as possible, because you yourself, dear girl, needed so so much help.

You taught me how to open my mind, how to strategize, how to adapt. You taught me drive, determination, passion, consistency and patience. You taught me how to speak a language with no words, but most of all, you taught me fierce, unwavering love.

Over the years, I watched you pacify the most anxious dogs, socialize the most shy and timid pups. Teach manners to the unruly, and confidence to the broken and abused.

You seemed to soothe the hearts of the most vulnerable of humans, and you were a place of safety for those without a voice. Whether at a summer camp, or a school, a residence or a stranger walking down the street, you knew who needed you and were always quick to answer the call.

"You taught her so well! Im so impressed!" No, no, dear girl. They've got it all wrong, it was you who taught me.

In losing you, we lost a legend. But we didn't lose our purpose. Your name will live on, and I'll make you proud, I promise ❤️🐾🕊️

Congratulations, Kara!! 🥳 You graduated!! And what a big change this girl has made! This sassy girl started off training DETERMINED that she could not and would not do anything she didn't feel like doing 🤣🤣. But look at her now! Such a sweet girl, with the same amount of s***k, but much much better obedience 🥰. Her owners did GREAT work with her being persistent and not giving up - she even managed to impress a police officer! Great work, Kara! See you soon! 😘🐾

GEDDY! AKA: Geds, Geddy-Spaghetti. Congratulations on graduating! You DEFINITELY made momma and poppa work for this one! Classic to Malamute style, your intelligence and hard head gave us all a run for our money, but also gave us SO many laughs and memories!! This pup can learn a command in 15 minutes, but once he's got it down pat, he's got other things to do! What is the point of repetition?! 🤣🤣

I'll miss you, Geddy! Can't wait to see you when you're full grown! ❤️😘🐾

Hi everyone!🐾


We need your help! This is Louna. Louna did some training with us when she was just a little pup. Very unfortunately, Louna’s owner has developed allergies to her, and she is no longer able to care for her. She has asked, as a favor, for us to make a courtesy post so that we can help find Louna the best possible home.

Louna is described as being a submissive, sweet, and affectionate girl. She will be 3 years old in August 2023 and is up to date on all her vaccines. She is fully crate trained and potty trained.

Louna lived in a home with a cat and another dog who were there before her, and would likely do very well with another canine companion in the home. She would also do well with an active couple who is willing to put time into stimulating her (walking, hiking, playing), though she is also able to settle down when it’s time to relax. She has not been tested with children under 6 years old as of yet, so the suggestion is a home with children old enough to understand basic boundaries with a dog.

We are in the process of setting up a meeting with Louna and her current owner to confirm a temperament and obedience test, at which point this post will be updated with any new information.❤️🐾

CONGRATULATIONS, ABBY! You Graduated! What a s***ky and sweet little girl! Just like a kid, Abby is very good at letting you know she simply does not want to be in class anymore. She will simply plop herself down with some serious side-eye that says "Yeah, I'm pretty much over this." 😂😂 Thank goodness that Abby's family has the stamina and persistence to match her character! Congratulations, A-team!! ❣️🐾

As Elite Canine Academy comes up to it's 4 year Anniversary, I would just like to take this time to give a big THANK YOU to all my clients, past and present for being as amazing as you are! I would not be where I am today without YOU. My dreams, goals and passions thrive because of YOU.

Thank you for the laughs, the support, for trusting me to help you and your furry friends become the best you can be! For putting up with my ten-million nick names for each of your dogs as well as my corny jokes and dog voices. For putting in the hard-work and trusting the process even when it seems like it would be easier to give up (especially with my constant drilling)! I SEE you, I see the efforts you make, I see the progress your dogs make, the confidence you (and your children!) build as you begin to understand your dog better and better. Every day I learn from you too!

The thoughtful words and gestures I receive from you lovely people (as simple as offering me a drink on a winter or summer day, a snack, or to warm up inside before I take off) are never missed and the depth of my gratitude is inexplicable!

The road has not always been easy, but just like I tell all of you- it's the struggle now, for the pay off later! And looking back - it definitely continues to pay off!

I look forward to MANY MANY more years training dogs, teaching owners and continuing to do what I do best with Honesty, Integrity and Accountability!

HELLO EVERYONE ❣️

Unfortunately we will not be having our usual Christmas Basket Contest and fundraiser this year!

With both life events and lots of doggies to help before the Christmas season, unfortunately we do not have the time to complete the set up.

I hope you understand and stick around for next year's! We know there were some who were looking forward to these baskets and we are very sorry for the inconvenience!

CONGRATS, HUBER! YOU DID IT! And definitely made sure you fought every step of the way 😂! This sassy little guy may be small in stature, but boy is he mighty in spirit! Huber and his brother sure gave us a run for our money, but finished off classes nice and strong, proving what a good and smart boy he is! Keep it up Huber (and mama) and I know you'll reach even higher heights! ❣️🐾

GUINNESS (Aka Guin)!! You made it!! You graduated!! This👏🏾 dog 👏🏾🤣. Definitely gave us a run for our money that's for sure! Classically stubborn, when Guinness was on it, he was a super star! And when he didn't feel like it.... Well, he let everybody know 🤣🤣. His owners have put in a tremendous amount of work and have done excellent with him! Keep it up!! (P.S He REALLY hated that hat 🤣🤣) ❤️🐾.

NOVA! Aka: Nova-cita, Space Cadet, Bag of beans, Puppy-girl, Nova-girl. YOU GRADUATED 🥰!! This girl made some big transformations! And let me tell you she made sure we put in the work to get her there 🤣🤣. From our first class where I was certain she'd checked out to her own planet we called Nova-Land, and from possibly a world record for the slowest "sit" command of all time (MOLASSES)-- to a great heel and the capacity to not gobble everything in site with a solid "leave it" command. It was a pleasure working with this family! Keep it up! 🥰🐶😘🐾
