Birdie is our 6th and final mare due, and is definitely one of my favorites. Her filly by Bjorn last year was excellent, and be bred her back to him for this year.

Birdie is a mare we raised, and wouldn’t mind replicating her over and over. She has the most natural stop, uses her hind end, has a flawless disposition, and is put together right. We have used her for all aspects of ranch work, and the kids love using her as a jungle gym. Her c**ts are proving to be every bit as nice as she is. Her oldest foal is now 5 and turning into a great ranch and rope horse.

Our 5th mare due is Tink. We like the way she crosses on Bjorn a lot and decided to do it again for this year.

Tink has a cool pedigree of some of my favorite cowhorse breeding and some good older running blood. Tink is super athletic and will really cow up. We used her in the branding pen and other aspects of ranch work before we started breeding her. Her babies have some life and seem to be very athletic.

Tovi is our 4th mare due, and we are more than excited to see this baby! Tovi is a beautiful blue roan daughter of A Shiner Named Sioux. We decided to add another dose of pretty and cowhorse pedigree royalty by breeding Tovi to Taggline.

Tovi is another mare we raised specifically to add to the brood mares. She has size, looks, pedigree, and disposition. We were able to start her as a 2 year old, but her training was stopped due to an injury. Her maternal line has been in our breeding program for over 30 years. They continue to out produce themselves, so we continue to keep their daughters. We are excited to see what Tovi produces!

Taggline became an AQHA Word Champion Cowhorse in 2023. He has won money and/or points in NCHA, NRCHA, Cowhorse, and roping events. We try to breed for well rounded, versatile horses. Taggline and his full siblings, including Hashtags, have won over $1,000,000 combined!!

Our 3rd mare due is a daughter of Hired Gun, out of Jazzy. Hired Gun is a son of Playgun, and won over $34,000. We did this cross specifically to try for a mare to put in the brood mare band. Hilda is just what we ordered.

Hilda has that old school Quarter Horse bulldog look, but still feminine. We started her and put 30 days on her to make sure her mind and disposition were what we wanted. She has quite the personality, and you can’t get away from her in the pasture. We crossed her on Bjorn this year in hopes of a well rounded, high end rope horse.

To say we are excited about this foal is an understatement. Our 2nd mare due is Lagitha.

I’m a firm believer that the mare is at as important as the stallion you breed to. Lagitha is not our best bred mare, but she is the most athletic mare we have ever had. She is a cross of cow and some run. She loves to work cows and loves to run down calves in the pasture to doctor.

On top of Lagitha being a great mare, we decided to breed her to Taggline. Taggline has won money in more than one discipline and is still being shown. He is a full brother to Hashtags, and between the full siblings, they have won over $1,000,000! Taggline is talented, versatile, and has all the looks. We can’t wait to see this foal!

Foals could start hitting the ground in the next couple months. Hopefully it’s a lot warmer by then. Our first mare due is Jazzy.

Jazzy is a mare we raised that has worked so well for us on the ranch and in the arena. She loves to work cows, and is super athletic. She is in foal to Bjorn. We did this cross a couple years ago and are excited to see what that c**t does in the roping arena in Utah with Tyrell Memmott.

Very happy with how Bjorn is turning out. From being family friendly, doctoring cows and calves, branding, to getting solid on the heeling end, he has taken it all in stride and done great! His mind and trainability is awesome. His c**ts are quick learners so far, and he puts some serious foot and bone on them. Can’t wait to start riding them!
