The Almaguin Pet Rescue (formerly the Almaguin All Animal Recue) was started in November of 2010 by a small group of dedicated volunteers who saw the need to foster and find forever homes for dogs and cats in the Almaguin Highlands area. We are located in Sundridge, Ontario, just off Hwy 11, halfway between North Bay and Huntsville. The Rescue assists abandoned, neglected and homeless animals (usu
ally dogs and cats), in the Almaguin Highlands area by providing any necessary medical treatment (spay/neuter and vaccinations) and by finding foster homes until suitable permanent homes are found. The Almaguin Pet Rescue is not in a position to trap or foster adult feral cats. We are frequently limited by finances and the availability of foster homes, but we do the best we can with the resources we have. We would like to be able to assist with ALL situations, but we just can't. The Rescue does not have a shelter facility and relies solely on a system of foster homes. The Rescue will provide food, supplies and medical care at no cost to the foster homes. We are a non-profit organization and raise all of our monies through fundraising events and donations. Foster homes and volunteers are always welcome and very much appreciated! For more information regarding adoption, fostering and/or membership, please contact us. Fees:
There is an adoption donation/fee when animals are placed in forever homes, to help cover relevant and associated expenses and veterinary care. Contact Information:
