Our poor old pallet jack is out of commission, and let’s just say: moving hundreds of pounds of dog food, crates, and clinic supplies with sheer willpower (and caffeine) isn’t exactly sustainable.

So if you have a spare pallet jack lying around — or you feel inspired to donate one to a very hardworking team — we’d be forever grateful (and a whole lot less sore). Heavy lifting is part of the job, but we’d love a little help.

“How many face licks are too many?”
Guess we will have to ask Charles.
During the first adoption meet and greet, Adelaide gave a full thumbs up on Charles and Priscilla with a full snuggy hug and a proper face grooming with kisses.
They are smitten. Addy has found the people that can give her the life she deserves. She will have a pet dog and two adoring humans.

One of the cat behaviours that has fascinated me over the decades, is how a matriarch chooses “their man”.
On the street, colony males serve more as a figure head than a provider. Though they are key members of a colony, they are not in charge. It’s the matriarch that rules and runs the colony, macho tom included.
Interestingly, once rescued and integrated with community cats, street matriarchs will often select and begin to woo a male of their choosing. That they all are now neutered, has no impact.
The wooing is actually more like a very persistent stalking. The object of an enamoured matriarch’s desire, dare not utter a sound. Any vocalization on their part is interpreted as an expression of undying love. The self imposed lady fair, will rush to their fellow’s call, welcome or not.
Resisting is pointless. I have seen many burly he cats resign themselves to their new status as “her boyfriend”.
