Monday Manicure
It is routine on Monday mornings, after lots of coffee☕, for all the daycare dogs to get their nails cut and or dremelled.
All the regular dogs are very accustomed to it. They actually stay close knowing it could be their turn next. Some are a little wiggly on the table at first but as time goes, they become more comfortable with the process. It usually takes between 1 and 4 minutes to do each dog.
Some dogs get trimmed and dremelled, some just like one or the other. I know each dog's preferences and tailor the session to their needs and wants.
When they are finished, they each get a reward 🍪 for their great work!
Well this is a first 🤣
Yes Fundy, you can come stay with us anytime!

✔ we want to see your progress and mastered tricks
✔ use a positive reinforcement and force free training philosophy
✔ good luck and have fun with your pet
🛑Post your RILEY SAYS SPIN LEFT THEN RIGHT in the comments section below to ensure I see your video!!
Don't forget to post a video on the original post of your dog doing a trick for RILEY SAYS CHALLENGE ME! Riley does not have a big trick toolbox, don't be scared 😊

I haven't posted in a while. Here's a border collie puppy named Nell working on down. It's her second day at educational daycare. This was first thing this morning when she arrived. She has been offering me downs consistently since this training session. Down will be a very important behavior for her to master as a farm dog who will instinctively want to move cattle and likely cats😂
Her behavior is not on cue yet but it it will be!
What a fantastic thing for a dog to learn for the winter months when their feet come in wet, or the spring when the mud flies! Liam is a 2.5yo Golden who has been to FOUR (Wow!) half day play and train sessions! He is learning to stand and have his feet wiped on cue. We still need to add his verbal cues and put wiping pressure on his toes to make it perfect. If you are interested in having your dog learn something like this or ANYTHING (and I mean anything, I am up for the challenge!) else let us know ASAP! The sooner you look for help with something, the faster you will see a difference in your dogs' behaviour...and your own!
Does your dog/puppy pull on their leash? There is nothing more frustrating than a pulling dog! Send your dog to Educational Daycare or if you can't bring them to us, start our Day Training service. We will work on teaching heel - or anything else your heart desires. PLUS we will teach you how to properly reward and maintain appropriate behaviours. This is Millie (~4m) Day 2 working on her heel at Educational Daycare.
