I am the sole dog walker at PupVentures YYC Dog Walking and Hiking Services. Ever since I was young I have had a close connection with dogs and I guarantee to treat your dog as a member of my own pack. My goal through PupVentures is to add a little adventure into every dogs day that we see! I offer inner-city private and group dog walks, happy hikes out in the mountains, and brief p*e and play ser

vices. I am available for you and your pup in ANY temperature and in ALL regions of the city. PupVentures is here for you and your doggie needs! My dog Rambo, is a blue heeler collie cross. He is my right hand man and accompanies me on almost all my adventures. He does not however come on private walks unless requested by the client. For group walks these will be at off leash parks with a maximum of 5-6 dogs. Your dog will get plenty of socialization and exercise, and you will get updates on your pups behavior and activities. For private walks these can be either on or off leash or a combination of both. While on leash proper leash etiquette will be practiced. This type of walk is recommended for a less social or older dog, or for one who requires a little extra attention or individual play time. All dogs need their exercise and I am willing to work with any and every dog. These are 2.5-4 hour adventure hikes out in the Canadian Rockies and are offered almost once a week. Happy Hikes allow your dog to embrace their wild side out in the Alberta wilderness while socializing with 4-pawed pals all at the same time. Water is provided periodically throughout the hike and a group photo is ALWAYS taken * no guarantees on clarity *. Plenty of water is carried along with bear bells and spray, a first aid kit, extra sweaters, booties, and harnesses. There will be a maximum of 4-5 dogs on each adventure hike and Rambo will always tag along, and by tag along I mean be the leader. Our P*e and Play Services are key for when all your pup needs is a quick potty break and a breath of fresh air. For those really cold days, a mid week lazy day, or for when you just can't make it home in time - I am here for you and your pups' potty needs! I started PupVentures because I understand you want the best for your dog but might not have the time to give them the adventure that they desire. My baby bear is ONE 🧡😭 Happy birthday to my little potato. I cannot believe how fast this year has passed… you’re such a little s**t but we live you so very much! You are such an eager, motivated, smart, mischievous little cattle boy and it makes my heart skip a beat. 16.10.10 🧡 5 years…. Sometimes it feels like yesterday, then sometimes it feels like a lifetime ago. Each year passes and it feels like you’re still here. There’s still a heavy presence in my heart, and on my right heel. You were always right there. Guilt, sadness, grief… these things never go away. You just adjust to life with a missing piece. The way you left us wasn’t what you deserved. You gave so much to me and that will never be forgotten. I have flashes of your seizures… when you went missing my heart knew you didn’t run away… I just didn’t want to face it. So finding you although I knew deep down you were gone I hoped it wasn’t real. I wish I could have protected you and held you for that final seizure those final moments. I wonder if it would have changed anything.. all I know is how much I loved you and wish you were still with us every single day. My boy, my Roc, my protector. Your are a good boy buddy, and I miss you. Rest easy ROCBEAR 🧡🍂 today is your day.

Our family thanksgiving tradition is bringing our boy his pumpkin up to his tree where he rests. Ram knows exactly where the tree is always, goes right to it and lays down beside where his brother lays 🧡🍂 forever a part of our lives we miss you Rocman.

I feel like everyday is when you have multiple dogs. I mean you do make you’re life your own but everything really still revolves around them.. I got dogs to enjoy life with them not leave them at home. And as much as my dogs (except Rambo) aren’t perfect, I know what they can do and I know what they will struggle with. Some days they drive me absolutely ape s**t. But the more I realize that that’s just them and usually they fail because I set them up to fail, or don’t do something properly the more it’s clear in not perfect either and we’re in it together 🐾💯🔥🥰

At the very end of a little dirt road through the forest, over a bring, along Kootenay Lake lies our little cabin hidden away amongst acres of serenity. Cut off of cell service, no running water, no electricity. I grew up running around here sun up to sun down, dirty as can be, bathing in the lake. Here I learnt how to dirt bike, drive a boat, and I drove my first Jeep. I hiked with my Opa and ran the dirt road, my brother taught me how to use a sling shot and the BB gun to shoot cans… maybe a bird or 2 😬, how to skip rocks, and how to build forts on the beach from drift wood. My Opa and my dad taught me how to catch and gut fish, how to build fires, how to use a chain saw, build things, and create our own water system, and MANY more things. My mom and my Oma taught me how to keep track of everyone and despite all the work that was done make family the #1 when out at the cabin l, they taught me how to pack for 2 months out in the middle of nowhere, amd how to be prepared for everything, they always had everything you needed no matter how far we were. My Opa taught me how to be clever and use what we had from the bush to get s**t done. Collecting water at night was still my biggest fear trekking down to the beach In the pitch black to get a drink from the stream.. this place is a major part of who I am and why I love the outdoors, and probably why I’m still so scared of the dark 😅. It’s so special to be able to take my family here now and a few special friends have got to make the trip now too. It’s a special spot and leaving today I had a clear image of my Oma and Opa standing on the bridge waving us off. Forever grateful for this piece of paradise to get to escape to. The Kootenays are a special place in my heart.

A year ago I had my second major shoulder surgery which consisted of a complete shoulder reconstruction and repair along with repair and relocation and reattachment of the bicep as well as reconstruction and repair of the humeral head. It wasn’t easy to say the least but 1 year out and I have more use and strength in my shoulder than I have in 12 years. Don’t get me wrong I have a long way to go still. The shoulder itself was in horrendous condition. There was no muscle and the damage was extreme so to be where I am today I am very happy and determined to keep improving. That being said… this year mentally has been difficult. I struggle everyday to get back to just regular use of my arm, I will reach for something or do something with my arm and have a flash of it dislocating and completely freeze, close my eyes, grab my arm and literally check to make sure it’s okay.. It hasn’t just been a physical recovery but a mental one too.. I still wake up at night from nightmares my arm has been dislocated and I’ve ruined the surgery. This is my last shot for recovery so I feel so much pressure to not f**k it up. Working has been very hard for me, despite making it look easy. Underneath, my confidence has faded. Not because I don’t KNOW I am great at what I do, but because I have a serious fear and complete PTSD that I will injury myself again. It’s been a difficult year, and I feel some very positive and major changes coming. My body has to be my number one and I need to look out for it. The dogs I walk have helped me over come a lot and I am grateful for them but I have some major hurdles to still over come to get back to where I was. 1 year out and getting stronger each day. I still struggle to even touch my shoulder but I keep reminding myself how far I’ve come!

Happy 11th Birthday to my RamBam💯🎉🥳 You are THE BEST dog I could ever dreamed off the past years with you you’ve taught me so much. You’ve got to join us on many road trips. You’ve seen the redwoods, you’ve been in the ocean, you’ve survived the heat of the desert on multiple occasions… you’ve also cuddled me through multiple surgeries and injuries and you constantly protect me from the evil dad 😂 it’s very clear whose dog you are and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy birthday buddy! I know you’ve got many more ahead of you 🧡
