Spring has sprung! This past week in Upper Kennetcook, the weather was different every day -- rain, high winds, snow, frost, beautiful warm sunshine, blue skies, and even a solar eclipse (which I watched with my Mom).
And there was MUD! MUD! MUD! AND MORE MUD!!!!
The only ones happy about that were the pigs. 😆❤️🐾

Avonlea, the Bernadoodle pup, is here visiting for a few days. Today, she was joined by Sherlock, the Beagle pup, who was here for daycare. These two had a blast! 🐾❤

Poor Monty ... He was so sad when his buddy, Sherlock, went home 10 minutes before he did. I so love that mournful beagle bay. ❤🐾

I'm Ellen, The Horse, Pet & Livestock Sitter. I'm a reliable, trustworthy house, pet, stable, and farm sitter serving Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.

I have a happy-go-lucky beagle named Toby, and a super-friendly black cat named Daniel. I’m an avid equestrienne, and I genuinely love doing barn chores – everything from feeding to grooming to mucking stalls.

​I’ve always loved animals and have worked on farms or in stables most of my life. I have decades of experience working with equines, dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, sheep, fish, goats, cattle, pigs, poultry, rodents, and ... Well, you name it and I've probably taken care of it. I’m actively involved in animal rescue with special interest in the plight of beagles and senior dogs. Over the years, I’ve fostered many rescue dogs in my home and take great pride in transitioning these sweet pooches to their forever homes where they get the love and affection they so deserve.

​As an experienced animal sitter, I understand how difficult it is to go away and leave your equines and farm animals in the care of another person. I also understand the stress of leaving your dog, cat or other house pet in an unfamiliar environment where they may become anxious or depressed.
