Barking Barber came across this fellow mobile pet service. We had to give it a try on our own dog since we don't specialize in teeth scraping. ⁣
⁣
We're so impressed!!⁣
Smile and Shine K9 offers their service with no sedation, one on one comfort and is cost efficient.⁣⁣⁣
Excellent customer service, passionate about pets and very thorough.⁣
They also did an incredible job cleaning her teeth. ⁣
They provided before and after pictures with a very thorough description of their oral health. ⁣
Our pup came out happy as could be, no trauma and loved Emma.⁣⁣⁣
We highly recommend this service to our clients! They service the same areas as we do. ⁣

The province has changed the regulations revolving around pet Grooming with severe restrictions.⁣
A pet is ONLY eligible to be groomed to prevent an animal from requiring foreseeable and reasonably imminent veterinary care. Such as over grown nails, matting and skin conditions with other exceptions.⁣
Barking Barber will only preform a groom that meets these guidelines, therefore no de-shedding or fluffing until further notice from our government. We must follow guidelines provided by Ontario.⁣

Eager clients!!
Yes there is a new amendment that is allowing emergency grooming.
The problem is, what is considered emergency and what can and can’t we groom?
We’ve been in contact with our sources.
There was a meeting and will put out a PSA on exact restrictions on how they interpreted the new amendment.
Please be patient while we gather more information and will be in contact asap!

There has been a lot of confusion in regards to regions being allowed to operate their grooming services and others not.

Unfortunately to the best of Barking Barber's knowledge we must wait for the go from the province.

It is a very confusing subject, these little points of "good news" from regions is to keep leading us on and quiet.
Regardless the proof groomers and clients have been providing.

I promise you we are ontop of the topic and are following all media, calling and emailing around the clock. Once we hear from Ford we can re open, our call list is organized and ready to go!

This is a joke!

Now that people are being forced to stay home, it is in their best interest to exercise by walking there dog, and we've been allowed to do this since day one!
I have nothing against dog walkers. It is a great service for a busy schedule, training and handicapped clients. I am very happy for them to get permission to operate.

But it is such a grey zone for pet grooming! Nothing is clear about us groomers but they specify dog walking?

On a positive note, this is a closer step to pet grooming opening up. Hopfully we will be considered essential soon and/or they don't extend the dates past February 19th.

Please help us groomers and fellow pet owners by joining the Facebook group " pet owners who believe pet grooming is essential "
There is a lot of information and petitions that need attention from as many pet owners as possible.

A reminder to all clients!
When it is announced when we are allowed to re open, please be patient with us. Trust me when I say we will be contacting our large lists asap and get everyone groomed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
