🌟Preparing Your Pet for Anesthetic: What You Need to Know🌟
If your pet has a procedure coming up, a little preparation can go a long way in keeping them safe and comfortable.
Here are some key steps to follow:
✅ Fasting – No food before the procedure (we will give you specific instructions but usually request a 6 hour fast).
🚫 No Exercise While Fasted – Avoid running or playing to prevent nausea or weakness.
🚽 Toileting – Encourage your pet to toilet before heading to the clinic.
🛁 Cleanliness – Keep them clean, especially if they’re having surgery.
⏰ Early Admission – Arrive on time for pre-anesthetic checks and prep.
Our veterinary team will ensure your pet is well cared for throughout the process.

Meet Siyah! Siyah’s procedure was initially meant to investigate a mass her owner found in her mouth, however during the procedure we found an unrelated problem in her oral cavity! Her story highlights the importance of a COHAT (comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment) and dental radiographs! In an otherwise healthy looking oral cavity, a big problem was found beneath her gum line! Take a look at this video which outlines her procedure !
