Vroom Vroom
So…they love to run along or ride, it’s one or the other.
Three pile on and Ember shuts down the machine by “investigating” the keys! The curiosity of this girl is something else.
Playing some recall games. Someone must of stopped for a sniff break. 😉
Had two of our puos at their first round dance. Miss Rousey (chocolate) loved it. Little Berg was more interested in sleeping in the cart.
Made some new little friend. Puppies are such a magnet. 🥰 Great night for us all.
We were late getting home tonight. I usually feed one pup at a time and they sit before there bowl is delivered. Tonight we tried it as a group….they sat beautifully…delivering the dishes….is another video 😅😂
We have a cougar hanging out around our place so we have to stay in the dog run for awhile.
We had quite the wind storm. Blew down quite a few poplars around our place. Three missed the dog run and cabin by feet!
The deer have also been living on our yard so maybe that’s why the cougars hanging out.
We took Calder and Yarrow out with us this afternoon for some extra eyes…and protection.
They are both great with the pups. Calder likes to bring toys over to entice play. Yarrow is still so much of a puppy himself. He will lay down so the pups will play with him in. 🥰 I could observe these dogs forever.
It’s such a beautiful day here today so I stayed out and cuddled pups all afternoon. We are not
Going to have many more of these beautiful days.
Here’s a photo dump of our afternoon.
We have a yellow boy and two yellow girls looking for families.
The last six pictures are of our boy.
ENJOY ❤️
It’s new enrichment time today! Every two days we switch the puppies enrichment out. This helps them get used to new tactile, levels, movement, sights, smells and noises.
The best time to socialize the puppies to new noises is during a meal. We start out quiet and at a distance and work our way up from there.
Today it was popping plastic stuffing from Amazon orders. Didn’t faze them at all.
They wanted to go outside more than investigate their new items.
We have a large cement pad for puppies only. It’s fenced in so nothing can get in or out. That way we are sure they stay healthy.
They weren’t too sure of the snow yesterday, they cut their outings a little short 😊
The colours you see on their backs is so we know who is who. We study their behavior the whole time they are here. This way we can match them to the right families and service!
Puppies do not sleep through the night. They are up many times to potty and play. Most pups will sleep through the night once their bladder has matured which is around 9-12 weeks. Some longer. This little crew is very playful in the evenings. 💛
You may see odd items in their pen (kitty scoop). Everything has a purpose. The kitty scoop is light and has good edges for them to pick up and pack around.
These items are for mental and physical enrichment.
And this my friends is why puppies are so hard to get good pictures of!
Seven weeks old 🥰
Today was temperment testing on our yellow crew. I couldn’t be happier with the results.
It is recommended that day 49 is the best day to test as they will show more of their natural temperament as they get older. Today was day 49!
Was a big day for the pups and they are all passed out hard….almost. Little maroon boy isn’t quite done playing.
They have their coloured collars and nail polish on. At this stage they like to pull each others collars off so if that happens the nail polish lets us know who they are. We do not microchip until tempermwnt testing is done, so that will happen this week.
They have been coloured coded since birth. Colour coding helps us get to know their dispositions from day one. 🪶
HAPPY DAY! 🪶
All of our pups are started on raw. We do introduce kibble periodically. Some homes continue with raw and some go with kibble.
*have volume up*
Introduced new enrichment & socialization items today. Grill, sand paper wobbler for tactile and movement. Jolly Egg for size and movement. Scrub Brush for tactile, kitty shovel and measuring spoons they like to retrieve and pack around.
AND the clown horn! Yah never know when they may run into a clown lol.
Enrichment and socialization. Puppies are being socialized to new objects daily. Today it’s popping of bags and the jolly rocker! The rocker is always a puppy favourite. Hear the jingle bells? Those get picked up before bed…or else they are rang in all hours. We have two yellow boys and a girl left 🥰

We have two yellow boys and a girl left 🥰
And goodnight from this sweet pile of puppies as well. Aunty Grey is making sure we put them all back in!
Have a good night all! Took this little one a bit to settle down. We moved their pen today so maybe a bit unsettled.
This little crew just had lunch, a drink from Grey and a wash up, now it’s nap time. They were started on raw a few days ago and true to lab fashion they love it!
Once they wake they go back in their play pen to explore around.
Hear how quiet they are? Ahhh
This little crew is starting to get around. Next week they will come downstairs and get a larger pen. 🥰
One of my favourite things about watching the puppies mature is when their pigment starts to come in. My second favourite is when their tails start to wag, usually between two and three weeks.
As you can see this little guys ears, nose and mouth are starting to darken AND he’s having a good dream!
Puppies are currently in a PVC frame on my bed.
Grey is a good mama however, whether the surface is hard or soft she at times steps on her pups and does not realize this can injure them.
If they are on the mattress she most likely won’t injure them. It they are on a hard surface she may.
We have a sheet protector, plastic and blankets just for the dogs over the mattress. The blankets are changed two to three times a day as they get dirty fast. I “sleep” next to them for roughly five to seven days. They then move to a pen on the floor with foam mattress pads.
This guy was the third puppy born and the second largest of the litter.
11:28 am, August 26th
We are excited to share that we have a yellow litter coming in about 28 days! This will be Grey’s last litter. 🥰
Grey, confident, intelligent, do it till I get it attitude.
Solid structure, hips excellent, elbows normal, clear for all on basic Labrador panel.
We have a not on this couch rule…it’s new and we would like it to stay that way for awhile.
The books are there as I’m enrolled in some courses, but they also seem to keep the crew off….kinda.
This face is why the rules get broken around here!
