Let me start by saying I treat all the dogs the same 😂🩷
But Hank was one of my first clients when I was still starting up my business and he was just a brand new baby 🥹 We have had a truly special bond right from the start. He was also a favourite of a dear friend of mine who recently passed away, and every time I share a photo of him, I think of her. She would comment on and like every photo of him, and reply to every story featuring him. I could cry looking at this photo. 🩷

🐱We are in need of fosters for pregnant cats! (If you have an application in with us and have room, you can also PM us!)

We have some momma cats that would love a comfy place to relax before and after giving birth.
Fostering a pregnant cat is approximately a 12-week commitment. This allows time for mom to give birth and take care of her kittens for 8 weeks.

Reasons to foster:
🐱 Momma cat does most of the work during and after birth
🏡 You are giving a hard working mom a calm and relaxing place to raise her kittens
❤ Endless kitten snuggles!

🥵HEAT WAVE🥵

For anyone worried about the heat this week -
I will still pick up dogs as usual, but of course exercise extra caution, as always. Taking breaks in the shade or in the car with AC if necessary, plenty of fresh, cool water (and running through the hose for the dogs who like the water!) - and for walks I will have water with me and we will stay off the pavement! We will also go as early as possible (without messing up everyone’s day!) each day to try and get ahead of the highest temps. If the temperature is extreme (mid 30’s and up; they’re calling for up to 45 with the humidex some days 😐) we will likely shorten times that day.

Meet Frankie! This handsome squish is looking for his forever home after his beloved human went into long term care. Frankie is a complete gentleman, fully housetrained and well mannered in the home. He is dog and cat friendly and in good health. A typical Pug, he is full of happy bum wiggles and snorts and would love to share his life with another friendly canine.

Dear public,

How does a perfectly imperfect dog get themselves adopted?

How do they get anyone out there to even begin to give them a chance?

How does absolutely not a single soul out there have an interest in an amazing dog?

The truth- right now, unless you are a perfect in every single way dog- no one is coming for you.

These are the dogs that sit in shelters and are most at risk of euthanasia. And they are the ones that rescues welcome into their
care (because everyone wants them saved) but at adoption time- it's crickets when it comes to an adopter saying "I choose you".

This is the reality that dogs with imperfections face right now.

As for Cloud?

He is an incredible dog.

Healthy, neutered, fully vetted, & dental done ✅
Super sweet & loving to his people ✅️ ️
Loves to go for walks & play ✅️
House trained & an amazing houseguest ✅️
Sleeps all the night & excellent manners ✅️
Good to stay alone while you work ✅️
Excellent mobility ✅️
Is a social butterfly with people ✅️
Affectionate & snuggly ✅️
Super smart & eager to learn ✅️
Excelling at his training & an excellent listener✅️
Has dog & cat friends check ✅️
Adoption fee waived & training plans

Leash reactive (getting so much better) ✅️
Requires slow intros to new dogs ✅️

What is leash reactive? Cloud barks lots & carries on when he sees other dogs or squirrels. He has learned skills to reduce this very well!

Cloud is absolutely amazing in almost every single way. And he is most deserving of a second chance & committed adopter too.

But those 2 last points- that's where apparently people draw the line for a 25 lb dog. Because he's had zero applicants.

No one comes for imperfect dogs. I'd love to be proven wrong.
