📣 Special SHOUT OUT to Michelle and Scandal for winning the TRIATHALETE award at the US American Rottwiler Club Nationals! Michelle and her dogs (Of course they're Wathaman Rottweilers 🤣) have won this award Every Year since its inception EXCEPT the 2 years she didn't compete (one year on the East coast and last year due to uhhh....technically difficulties when Debbie Haynes stepped in to still bring the award "home" to Canadian soil). The amount of time and energy she puts into her dogs is unmatched, so the award couldn't be more deserved!! Congratulations Michelle!!! Maybe Scandal deserves a 'back scratch' ....stop, drop and roll style 😜🤣🤣 (Pic of Scandal and her baby Taboo (?))

Day 4 (May 24) Update from the ARC Nationals.

Today was the Nationals Sweepstakes and again, we are so proud of Pivot (Wathaman's Helluva Hasty Turn) Who again was the girl on top (entry of 43 bi***es) winning Best of Opposite S*x in the sweeps!

Wathaman's North Sky Zenith was 2nd in his class in Veteran Sweeps!

Big Congratulations to Debbie Haynes, Dawn Phillips,Kim Zippel, and Michelle Whistlecraft and their dogs who (as Team Canada) won 1st place in Team Obedience!!

Doug is excited to announce that he is currently the #1 Rottwieler in Canada!

Big thanks to respected judge James Reynolds for finding Doug and awarding him with a Group 4 at the EKKOC show in January.
Doug also finished his Canadian Grand Champion Bronze with his breed win that day!

Earlier in January Doug also achieved 2 5 point majors towards his American Grand Championship.

Not a bad way to start the year!!

We had a great weekend at the AKC Summer classic. It was so nice to be out and about with the family and of course friends! The Wathaman gang had some lovely wins and several titles. Doug went best of breed twice, making the cut down to 6 in a lovely group one day then taking a Group 3 the next! Ozzy was Reserve winners dog at the Rottweiler Club of Canada's National and achieved his Canadian championship over the weekend going Best of winners 4 times over the course of the weekend! Marty was Select one day, while his brother Jax was select another. Amber was Best of opposite s*x every time she was shown including in the National. Scandal was Select Bitch in the National, and also won the Brood bitch. Gossip was 1st in the Bred by Class, and Dorris (Wathaman's Easy on the eyes) was winners bitch (also in the National). Pivot (Wathaman's Helluva Hasty Turn) was NBBPISS. Sky (Am/Can CH. Wathaman's North Sky Zenith) was BVISS, and he and his sister were Best Brace too! Sky also added an all breed Best Veteran in Group to his weekend. Congratulations to all the kids and their parents!! I know I left some out but my fingers are about to fall off! 😆 There were also some great obedience and Rally wins (Like Dorris going high in trial at the National) and probably some agility titles too! All in all a great weekend 🙌 everybody!

Wathaman's Dare 2B Canadian Eh HIC,DJ was BOB on Saturday, and Select dog on Sunday at Rocky Mountain Working Herding Club of Alberta 's Specialty show, also making the cut in group on Saturday.

This little gal ....Wathaman’s Helluva Hasty Turn (Pivot) made her ring debut in the Baby puppy class at the Rocky Mountain Working Herding Club of Alberta specialty and went on to win BBPISS!! Pivot was shown by Aunty Debbie Haynes , and Nana Heather Smith. Not a bad start! 😁 Pivot is out of Wathaman's Adventurous Affair (Scandal) and Darkwaters Misty Lake My Hero V Nighthawk (Malik). Congrats to Pivot and Michelle Whistlecraft!

Not a bad weekend for the "Flirt'n" kids (Scandal x Cruz)! Gossip and Ozzy were both winners dog and winners bitch for both days at the Rocky Mountain Working Herding Club of Alberta 's annual Working/Herding Specialty with Ozzy going BOW both days, and on Sunday Marty received the award of merit. Over in BC their brother Jax (Wathaman's Flirt'n with Anarchy) finished his championship along with a few Group placements! Congratulations to all these "kids" and their owners on great weekends!

Well, 2022 is off to a pretty decent start in the conformation ring on both sides of the border! 🤗
Special shout out to this guy CANYON - aka Wathaman's Get'n Echos of Esmond and his owner/trainer/head spoiler Dawn Phillips...in his very first show, at just 6 months an 5 days the little Rockstar was BOW all 3 days and Best of breed for 2 of those days!! Wow! Canyon is bred by Kim Zippel out of the Pan/Stitch repeat breeding July2021. We're looking forward to watching this guy grow up 😁

Here's Doug's owner handler Group 4 pic (the sign is wrong) where he also finished his American championship our last day in Seattle.

Yesterday in Portland, Marty was winners male while Doug was reserve (didn't have time to move him up). While Gossip was winners bitch and Doris was reserve. Marty went on to BOW and owner handler BOB while Gossip was best opposite over the specials!! Then Marty was awarded an owner handler Group 1st!! That also made for a VERY long day as we started at 8am and ended around 7pm 😴 Today was a different story and none of us did anything 🤷‍♀️ 🤣But it gave us time to get those money grabbing PCR tests so we can return home Sunday ☺

Warmed up a bit....today in Seattle Doug was winners dog, and Gossip was winners bitch. Doug went on to BOW (for 5 pts I do believe) which finished his American championship! Not bad for his 2nd weekend in the US (although 2 years apart 🙃). Doug also managed to snag an owner handler series group 4. Not a bad way to wrap up the weekend!

For today's update from Seattle, it has cooled of considerably....like a deep freeze actually 🤣🤣 We did a whole Lotta nothing in the ring today. Not totally unexpected (hence why not all the dogs were entered today). In other news we had some awesome Mexican for supper and are heading to bed early. Tomorrow is another day. 😁
