A little look into Juna’s amazing transformation! Juna used to be over friendly and enthusiastic on the walk and in her house which turned into some pretty intense behaviours (pulling, lunging/ jumping up and barking at people and other dogs). After introducing rules and structure and empowering her amazing owners she is now the best version of herself!

Hey Everyone, I wanted to take the time and put together a few tips and tricks and exercises to practice while we are all safe at home! ☺️🐾
The biggest one is crate training!
Now that the majority of us are at home our dogs are probably thrilled. BUT some of your dogs will be at risk for getting some separation anxiety. If you’re dog already showed signs of this before the pandemic then this post is even more important for you to read.
The majority of you go to work and your dog is in a crate while you aren’t home for anywhere from (1-8/9 hours a day). Now they have way more freedom.
Uh-Oh😬
I know what you’re thinking... “Why would I put my dog in its crate when I’m home”
I’ve got the answers to your why:
• If you’re dog isn’t great in the crate this is the perfect time to practice.
• You will start to create more independence and confidence in your dog. 👏🏻
• You can cook dinner and your dog can hear you and realize that they will survive if they aren’t right under your feet.
• If you’re dog has freedom 24/7 for months and then you try and put them in a crate for 8 hours it might not be so easy.
• Your dog needs structure, so why not use the crate for 2-3 hours a day as an easy way to keep up with their daily routine.
Challenge yourself to set up a daily routine🔆 (might be good for our mental health too!)
An example would be:
~ Morning- Hand feed breakfast while working on some exercises ( leave it, touch, sit pretty)
~ Morning walk- structured walk
~ “Place” time after morning walk
~ Play/Freedom
~ Kennel from 1-3pm
~ Freedom/ 10-15 min training session
~ Afternoon walk- structured walk allow more sniffing and exploring for this walk and work on some recall back into heel position
~ “Place” when you eat dinner
~ Crate at night.
This is a very structured day but also quite doable. If this looks like something you’d like to do, I would try this for as many days out of the week you can. Your pu
