Have you heard the news?! The Wildflower Riding lesson program is moving to Wyld View Ranch in June! 🌾

We assure you that our same dedication to our horses, programs, and community will remain as we make the transition to our new home at the end of the spring season. shares those same values and is dedicated to creating a space where everyone can enjoy the wonder of horses while building a community! 🐴🫶🏼

We’re reaaaally hoping spring is here to stay, but even if it isn’t (yet), we’re thinking ahead with our spring fundraiser!

Snag your perfect plants while supporting the health & care of our Wildflower horses 🐴🌸 All proceeds will go toward their vet care- As horse lovers know, horses can be a bit accident prone 🚑 and even if they aren’t (🤞🏻), horses require regular vet visits for things like dental care and vaccines. As their humans, we do everything we can to make sure they’re a happy, healthy herd!

Choose from a wide variety of plants- herbs, veggies, hanging baskets, ferns, flowers, and more! 🌿🌼🍓

Orders (🔗 link in our bio) are due April 16 and plant pick up is at the farm the week of May 2nd 🗓️ Please reach out if you have any questions!
We are so appreciative of your support & can’t wait for all the adventures to come this spring 🌻

Is there something in the air?? Might it be horse hair and hay blowing in the wind? 👀💨

That’s because our Spring ‘Intro to Riding’ sessions get started on April 11 for adults and April 12 for youth! 🌸🐴 These 8-week sessions will plant all the seeds of knowledge & skills needed for the world of horses such as: leading, grooming, groundwork & handling, and of course- riding!

Now’s the time to start a budding love for horses and the wonderful community of humans that come with them (and for as many Spring puns as we can fit into this caption!)

If you have any questions or are ready to get registered, email 📧 [email protected]
We can’t wait for Spring and we can’t wait to see you at the barn!

Say ‘hi!’ to Coulson! 👋🏼

Coulson is one of the sweetest gentlemen around! After one of Wildflower’s boarders showed us his ad, we immediately fell in love and headed to Lloydminster to bring him home🏡 Needless to say, Coulson has been a farm favourite for almost 3 years now!

He can often be found napping: in his pasture, getting tacked up, and in breaks during lessons 😴 This sweet guy is an Appaloosa/Percheron mix, hence his fabulous speckles & spots ✨

Being in his 20s Coulson is full of wisdom & is always keen to teach his lesson students! We really love having him as part of our horsey family 🐴🤎

Well, the snow is back (this seems to happen every year?!!) and while it makes for beautiful views at the farm, it also means some new things to consider now that’s it’s chilly!

🧤We have our lessons in a spacious insulated arena, but it still can be cool! Wear proper attire to keep yourself warm, including gloves and good socks, and dress in layers so you can adjust as needed

💡If your lessons are later in the day, bring a headlamp or flashlight to help you see clearly when you bring your horse in and out of the arena in the dark

🏃🏽‍♀️Warm up! Both yours and your horse’s bodies need extra time to get moving and warmed up before your lesson. A good warm up of course gets you warmed up, plus it helps reduce the risk of injury

We live in Alberta- a ‘little’ snow isn’t going to stop us from doing the things we love! 🐴☃️
