These cats and kittens want to be home for the holidays! 🥰

It’s the first day of winter and the holiday season is almost here! There are still 6 cats available at PetSmart Merivale and Meadowlands (1585 Merivale Road, Ottawa). Braid, Kringle, Mango, Marigold, Ribbon, and Twine are looking for their furrever homes! Ribbon is the momma to Braid and Twine.

Braid is an adorable female, almost 3-months-old, grey and white kitten. She loves to relax in the cat tree. Braid also loves to play. She loves people and other cats. Braid is a very loving and calm kitten!

Kringle is a handsome male, 4-months-old, grey kitten. He is so funny and loves to be with people. Kringle always wants to be pet and loved. He loves to play with toys. Kringle also purrs all the time!

Mango is a striking male, 5-months-old, buff kitten. He loves to be held and cuddle with people and cats. Mango is very playful too when he is not napping. He loves attention. Mango is a total sweetheart!

Marigold is a beautiful female, 5-months-old, black kitten. She is very friendly and loves to be pet. Marigold is very social. You can always find her snuggling with other kittens. Marigold is so affectionate!

Ribbon is a stunning female, 2-years-old, calico cat. She is so sweet and loves to be in cat beds and trees! Ribbon is very friendly and gentle. She loves pets, especially belly rubs. Ribbon loves to nap too!

Twine is a pretty female, almost 3-months-old, black and white kitten. She is very cuddly and loves to nap on people. Twine is very endearing. She is confident too. Twine is a very friendly kitten!

Furry Tales requires all kittens to be adopted with a sibling or another young cat, or for there to already be a friendly cat in their furrever home.

Meet the lovely Queen 👑 (2023-10-01) and her deck 🃏 of kittens Deuce (m) 2️⃣, Hearts (f) ❤️❤️❤️, Jacks (f) 🇯, Spades (f) ♠️ who were born on 2024-10-01. This little family came into our care in early November from Maniwaki.

Queen 👑 has expertly raised her kittens and is now ready to find her fur-ever home. Queen is so sweet and affectionate. She loves to be brushed and held for snuggles. She loves to sit in a lap while you watch TV. This girl is an expert biscuit maker and purr machine. She will rub on your legs and look up at you with those sweet eyes asking to be picked up for snuggles. She gets along great with dogs AND cats and would love to be someone's work-from-home companion.

Hearts ❤️❤️❤️ because of her cute heart-shaped nose marking. She is always on the go. She has no time to sit still because if she is awake she must be playing!
Hearts loves her wet food and is always the first one to the food. She loves to chase anything around the room; balls, loose kibble, laser and even her mom’s tail. You can often found on top of the cat post practicing her balance.

Deuce 2️⃣is the only boy in the litter. He loves to wrestle. Him and Hearts are very evenly matched for running, jumping and sneak attacks. For pets, he prefers ear massages and chin scratches. He LOVES to chase the laser pointer.

Jacks 🇯 is a lover of kibble. She will check out the wet food after others have eaten. She often is standing in the kibble dish when she eats. She takes bath time very seriously which is great as she’s so fluffy. She is the only one out of the group with tabby markings.

Spades ♠️, the fluffy cuddle bug, loves to hang in your arms. She will climb up your leg or paw at your feet to get picked up for snuggles. This little cutie wants to be your baby forever.

Introducing Sybil & Molesley (born August 30, 2024)! These two beauties are looking for their new home and would make a wonderful addition to any family!

Meet Sybil (aka Sybbi) – she loves cuddling and being around you so much, you’d think she’s made of velcro! 😻 If you’re in the room, she’s on you, ready to shower you with love (and even some grooming)! 💖 Sybbi loves to climb and pounce from her cat tree. She’d be the perfect coworker for someone who works from home – always keeping you company! 🏡

Meet Molesley (aka Mosey) – the sweetest, most playful kitten you'll ever meet! 😻 She’s all about playtime, especially with her favorite mice toys, but she’ll happily chase anything that moves! 🐾 Mosey loves climbing high and has perfect litter box habits. When she’s ready for love, her belly is all yours for tummy rubs! 💕

Zoey: She’s just a girl, standing in front of potential adopters, asking them to love her 💕

At only 4 years old, darling Zoey has had a difficult journey, but that hasn’t stopped her from having a sweet, quirky side. After losing her beloved human, she came to us feeling scared and unsure, but with a little time and patience, we’ve seen the true Zoey return.

Zoey is an absolute character! 💛 She loves being near her humans, often cozying up nearby or even resting with a paw gently touching you. Zoey’s a big fan of cozy spots, whether it’s under a blanket or on her favourite perch by the window. She enjoys being part of the family, without always needing to be the center of attention.

Playtime is one of Zoey’s favourite things. She has a catnip pickle that she carries around proudly in her mouth and likes to chase after springs and toys. When she gets the zoomies, you’ll be treated to some hilarious running up and down the hall. Zoey’s playful side is just one of the many things that makes her so loveable.

Zoey is still learning to fully trust people, but her love language is undeniable. Head rubs and chin scratches make her so very happy, and when she’s feeling extra snuggly, she’ll return your affection with a gentle lick. If Zoey’s not in the mood for interaction, she’ll tell you with a meow. Like the best of us, sometimes Zoey needs her space, but she’ll definitely warm up to those who understand her.

Zoey is looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace and be supported in her weightloss journey. She’s not a fan of other cats, so a quiet home where she is the only feline would be ideal. While she may need a little time to adjust, Zoey is full of love and is eager to find her special purrson who can offer her the stable, loving home she truly deserves. Sweet, snuggly, and incredibly charming, Rosco was born July 10, 2023. This handsome tabby-and-white gentleman is a perfect mix of laid-back, cuddly, and playful. He’s happiest curling up in your lap or on your chest for a cozy nap, but don’t let his chill demeanor fool you—Rosco loves a good zoomie session after meals, chasing toys, and playing to his heart’s content!

Rosco is a true sunshine seeker who enjoys basking in warm spots, burrowing into blankets, and watching “cat TV” on the iPad. At night, he takes his role as purrfessional foot warmer very seriously, snoozing by your feet before stretching out on his back for a well-earned rest. His foster said he’s a little bit of a bed hog and will endearingly claim your feet before stretching out on his back for some quality snoozing.

Rosco would make a wonderful addition to your family, especially if you already have a resident feline looking for a buddy! He’s also perfectly happy to be adopted alone or alongside a friend from Furry Tales—he’s just that easygoing! This little snuggle champion adores being held and showered with affection, and he’s sure to show you just how sweet he truly is.

Rosco came in with a spinal injury of which he is recovering beautifully. He has a slight sway to his walk (which is fitting of his cool and sly personality!) and has little feeling and movement in his tail. This does not stop him from his zoomie sessions or anything else, and he is still just the warmest lil man you could ever meet.

Natasha and her kittens are ready to touchdown in their furrever homes! 🥰

3-year-old tabby Natasha and her 2-and-a-half-months-old kittens are so playful and affectionate. They are an adorable family!

Natasha (female tabby) is so very sweet! She loves cuddling and being pet all the time. Natasha is also great with other cats and even a big dog. She likes to be the boss and and will surely be the queen of her household in no time. Natasha is a very loving cat and anyone would be lucky to have her!

Aaron (male tabby) is so handsome! He also loves to snuggle and very often falls asleep on his foster. Aaron also loves to play with toys. He is just like his momma Natasha. Aaron is very sweet and playful!

Devante (male black and white) is a purring machine! He loves to snuggle and always wants to be with his foster. Devante loves being the centre of attention. He is a very playful kitten. Devante is very loyal!

Kittle (female black) may be small, but she is very mighty! She is very playful. Kittle also loves to cuddle. She has beautiful eyes persuading you to give her everything she wants. Kittle is a gorgeous kitten!

Taylor (female tabby) is so gentle! She is very quiet but still loves to play with her siblings. Taylor is also a pro at snuggling. She is quite the purrer too. Taylor is a very affectionate and loving little kitten!

Travis (male tabby) has a very soft little meow! His sweet eyes will melt anyone’s heart. Travis is also known as Travy in his foster home. He loves to cuddle and play with everyone. Travis is so fun!

Furry Tales requires all kittens to be adopted with a sibling, their momma, another young cat, or for there to already be a friendly cat in their furrever home. Natasha and her kittens are very well behaved and have great litter habits.

Introducing two of Santa’s most adorable little helpers! Meet Ren & Stimpy, they may be little, but they’ve got BIG purrsonalities😻!

🩷Here’s what their foster has to say about these two silly boys:

“They were so tiny when they arrived, but were full of confidence from the minute they stepped out of the carrier into the foster room. No matter where they are when I enter the room they come running, meowing to be picked up and held for a few minutes.

These little munchkins are so active and love all of the toys in the foster room. Anything that rolls becomes prey and they carry the little mice to a hiding spot to be picked up later. But their favourite is the wand and they never tire of playing with it. I believe they are practicing for the circus or to be pole dancers. They are working on their routine and once perfected I will post it.

When they’ve had enough exercise they are cuddly and curl up on me for a nap. They are a delight and will do well in any home where there is another kitten or cat to play with.”

Ready to make a splash? Jump in and take a ride with River!

This handsome 3-year-old tuxedo boy had quite an adventure and now has a second chance at life! It all began in a silo filled with road salt! Yes, you read that correctly! This sweet little furball somehow got himself trapped in there! With no food or water, he was skin and bones when he was found by a lovely lady. Thank goodness he was because he had sores all over his body and was not in good shape at all.

Fast forward a month, his sores were healed and he gained some of his weight back. But then his kind rescuer needed surgery and he had to find a new foster to care for him until he could find his fur-ever family. That's where we stepped in! He is now in a foster home, waiting patiently. River is all healed up, feeling much better, and looking for his special purrson to love.

His foster family says that beautiful River is getting used to his new environment, learning to play, and having fun batting around a wand toy. He loves to play at night! He has wonderful manners - excellent litter box habits and a good appetite - both wet and dry food. And as you can tell by his pictures, he loves a comfy cat bed!

Calling all angels! It’s almost Christmas!

Have you heard about our “angel trees”? 🌲

If you’re still looking for a special gift for that special someone in your life who may be a little difficult to buy for, look no further! We have a the perfect present - one that gives back! 💝

What do we mean? Well, at our partner PetSmart stores in Ottawa (1585 Merivale Rd and 1600 Heron Rd), you’ll find our “angel trees” with ornaments and tags attached. Each tag has the name and QR code of one of our adoptable cats and a request for the gift they’ve been wishing for this holiday season - everything from treats to brushes. We promise…all our kitties have been very good this year!

How does it work? While at the store, grab an ornament and purchase what is requested on the tag. Then head back to the adoption centre to drop off the item(s) to our elves - I mean, volunteers! And as a thank you, you get to keep the ornament, which you can give to that special purrson you’re shopping for! Talk about a gift from the heart that you can feel really good about!

Introducing Moxie, Mojo, Harvey and Hadley!

MOJO She likes pets and human cuddles, but will also jump into wrestling with her siblings without thinking twice.

She’s very sweet, and loves to play but is a bit submissive to her siblings when it comes to toys.

Mojo enjoys perching on a cat tree, bidding her time until she jumps into the fray with siblings or gets cuddles from a human. Either are good options to her!

MOXIE is the sweetest little guy. Gremlin in an endearing way. Such an active young man.

Moxie plays hard and sleeps even harder. He is either super active or super sleepy! No middle. He loves a good snuggle with a human or feline friend.

He is just loaded with personality and character in his tiny little body. Bright eyes and beautiful shinning personality.

He is just the kindest littler purr muffin.

HARVEY is a very curious and adventurous little nugget. Purrs constantly, like NON stop. He likes to crawl into your lap or snuggle up with a buddy.

Favourite toys include balls, mice and anything he can chase around. He’s also a very avid climber. He enjoys napping at the top of the cat tower or on a lap or shoulder.

HADLEY aka Squishmallow is the sweetest and cuddliest lap kitty around, with super soft velvet fur and a beautiful demeanour.

Hadley has some damage to one eye; however this has no impact on her health and ability to thrive. Her eye continues to improve over time.

Hadley likes to spend her time snuggled up in a warm lap or lazing in a cozy bed. She’s super playful and has a lot of s***k. When she’s done playing, she loves to be snuggled up like a baby and makes the sweetest sounds. She is an absolute love bug.

Some of her favourite toys include springs, balls, tents and tunnels.

She is soft, gentle and a quiet young lady with perfect habits. She is a certified lap kitty who would warm any lap she can find.

Meet Mahogany, a stunning tortoiseshell beauty looking for her furever home to curl up and relax in. Mahogany is a gentle lady who appreciates quiet time and the simple pleasures in life.

While she is shy at first, this sweet girl has a big heart and has been a wonderful mama to her kittens, Apricat, Citrine, and Flame, who have all been adopted now.

Mahogany’s favourite ways to spend the day:

🩷 Watching cat game videos on YouTube, especially on an iPad! She seems especially intrigued by videos with mice and bird noises.

🩷 Soft pets while she’s eating, or from the comfort and safety of a little kitty condo or bed, while she warms up to you.

🩷 Relaxing by the window, watching the world go by.

Sweet Jorja is a joy! We don't understand how this jolly jellybean is still in our care! Born in September of 2022, this jubilant juvenile can’t wait to find a family to love. Could it be with you?

Jorja is such a sweetheart and she has the most beautiful green eyes. She’s an expert groomer, always giving her coat a good cleaning after every meal. It only makes sense…she has to keep it wonderfully soft. She has adorably fluffy paws and is good with her nails being trimmed! Jorja has the cutest quiet meow and will let you know that she is around and is looking to be pet. She purrs softly and although not a lap cat she is never far away and always searching for snuggles. She doesn't mind being picked up and will sleep at the end of your bed. Gorgeous Jorja can’t wait to meet her special purrson, who she’ll greet at the door and follow around the house.

Jorja is the purrfect roommate - she has great litter box habits and a healthy appetite - especially when it comes to wet food! She enjoys playing and especially loves wand toys. She also likes to sit up high on the cat tree and look outside. She is a lovely girl who just wants to be loved. There is not an aggressive bone in her body.

Jorja’s been waiting months for her fur-ever home. She spent time being a momma and watching her babies get adopted and now it’s her turn! She would do very well in a home with another respectful cat, but she would be fine on her own as long as her human companion gives her lots of attention.

Mama Aesha (2022-11-22), her biological daughter Margot (2924-09-16) and her adopted son Sprite (2024-09-18) are ready for their forever homes!

Aesha, a gorgeous house panther, is ready for the next phase of her life - being a spoiled house cat! She loves to chill near her humans and rub on them every once in a while for quick pets. Her foster mom reports she's uber-smart! Maybe she needs some puzzles to solve? She also gets the zoomies which is hilarious to watch. She's met the resident cats through a gate and has slowly been warming up to them. She could be adopted into a home with or without other cats.

Margot and Sprite are thick as thieves - play fighting, cuddling, fighting over the milk bar, climbing and chasing.

Margot’s name is affectionately Cuddle Bug because she will run up to you, jump in your lap, settle in and purr purr purr. She loves to climb, especially humans who aren't giving her attention!

Sprite, you may remember was found as an orphan. He was introduced to Aesha and she took him in immediately and he was hers from that day forward. Sprite isn't as forward as Margotis but once he has time he's also ready for cuddles.

Margot and Sprite would love to be adopted together, but it is not necessary. However, both will need a friendly and playful feline in their adoptive home.

There is nothing Spicy about this guy. What does Spice want? Love. When does Spice want it? All the time! When volunteers leave the playroom and he knows they are still there he will plaintively meow at the door and wait for them to return. Spice is alllllll about human cuddles

Mango 🥭(2024-07-02)
Not to be outdone by his brother, Mango is also the cuddliest guy ever. Sitting down? Expect a Mango in your lap! He loves love! If there is no human around to cuddle, Mango will find a feline pal to snuggle with.

Cutie Clementine is looking for her furrever home! 🥰

Furry Tales Cat Rescue is helping find an adopter for Clementine. She is a rescue cat currently staying with Campbell Road Veterinary Services. Clementine is a sweet, female, 3-year-old tabby cat. She is a very curious and adventurous cat!

Clementine loves to jump onto desks and shelves. She is visually impaired, but that doesn’t stop her one bit from going wherever she wants to! Clementine has really cute tiny eyes, and her eyelids were repaired. She also loves to gently wave at you to get your attention. Clementine isn’t a lap cat yet, but she could be! She is very loving! Clementine loves hanging out with people in the office on their desks! What a cute office assistant!

Clementine is a healthy cat looking for her furrever family. Due to her vision impairment, it is preferred that she has a calm home without young children. She gets along well with dogs and cats who are calm and move slowly.
