Please join us in welcoming Kevin, the newest member of our Furry Tales family.

This sweet boy was discovered outside Carleton Place by a person who was concerned about his wellbeing. This individual trapped Kevin and reached out to us for help.

If a cat is feral, the best course of action is to trap, neuter and return them to their original or another safe location. However, when Kevin arrived at his foster home, it was obvious that he wasn’t completely feral as he didn’t show an ounce of aggression and welcomed head scritches.

So what happens now that we know Kevin is semi-feral? He’ll be given all the time and patience he needs to heal from his neuter. He’ll be cared for and loved on until he’s ready to move onto his next chapter - where he’ll be given a home in a barn with all the necessities.

✨ Meet Baffin, Victoria & Ellesmere ✨
These 3-month-old siblings are full of personality, playfulness, and love — and they’re all waiting to meet you at PetSmart Heron! 💕🐾

🐱 Baffin – The “big sister” of the group with her beautiful tabby markings and sweet nature. She adores her siblings, gives the occasional groom, and loves curling up with her foster mom after playtime. Baffin is playful, affectionate, and already obsessed with Churu treats!

🐱 Victoria – A gorgeous swirly-striped tabby with endless energy! She’s a play-hard, nap-hard girl who springs to life at the sound of a toy. While she isn’t a big fan of long snuggles yet, she enjoys gentle pets and is quick to forgive when treats or toys are involved.

🐱 Ellesmere – Nicknamed the “Tomboy Princess,” she’s the perfect mix of dainty and daring. One moment she’s zooming around the room or climbing a cat tree, and the next she’s curling up in your lap for cuddles. This sweet girl is both affectionate and adventurous.

All three kittens are playful, loving, and would make wonderful companions in their forever homes. 🏡✨

One-and-a-half year old Gabriola has raised her babies and is now at PetSmart Heron (1600 Heron Rd, Ottawa) looking for her forever home!!

Gabriola is a lean beauty with stunning tabby markings. Now that her kittens are older, her playful side is coming out, and she’s great at splitting her time between naps, playtime and getting pets & attention. She’s a sucker for head, cheek and chin rubs, and will purr up a storm in appreciation. She can be a little shy at first, but does like regular companionship. She’d be happy in a home with someone around a lot of the time.

She (very) occasionally gets overstimulated when receiving pets, and that can lead to her giving little bites/nibbles so young children may not be ideal for her. Her lean body hides her enthusiasm for food, especially treats (Temptations and tube treats are faves)!

Happy Tales!!

We are thrilled to share the wonderful cats who have been adopted recently!

Ralf, Sweetheart, Allegra, Bendita, Halo, Jed & Jerome, Ginger, Edna, and Blink & Jethro are off to their furever homes!!

We are especially overjoyed that the wonderful Sweetheart has found her furever family after over 190 days in care!! We thank our wonderful Furry Tales Cat Rescue team including our devoted fosters, in ensuring that our cats receive the love and care that they deserve, while they await the purrfect family!!

💐 Beautiful sisters, Princess and Minet, have taken over!…In the best way possible, that is. At 10 and 12 years of age, these lovely girls enjoy relaxing and snuggling, but when the moment strikes they aren’t afraid to let their ‘inner kitten’ out to play.

👑 Princess is the first to wake her foster up in the morning to make sure they don’t miss breakfast. How thoughtful! After she eats, she thanks her foster with cuddles.

💖 Minet has earned a special place in her foster’s heart. She’s the most curious kitty and wants to get involved in anything that’s happening in the kitchen. It's no surprise that she’s a big fan of food.

🌺 These two lovely ladies with gorgeous green eyes love to play with the laser pointer and also just sit and purr! Princess and Minet will make wonderful companions for someone looking for two easygoing cats that like to sleep and receive lots of love and attention.

Cayenne and Paprika are looking for their furrever family(ies)! 🥰

Cayenne is a curious, 3-month-old, tortie kitten. Paprika is a playful, 3-month-old, orange kitten. They are soon going to be at PetSmart Merivale (1585 Merivale Road, Ottawa). You can book a meet and greet through our online adoption application to go see them in person, or you can go look at them through the playroom window! Their momma is Ginger!

Cayenne is independent and has a lot of energy! She enjoys climbing and jumping around. Cayenne can easily get up the highest cat tree. She loves playing with springs and jingle bell ball toys. Cayenne purrs so loud too!

Paprika loves to bounce around! He also loves to wrestle with his sister. Paprika’s favourite toy is the ball track. He has an adorable rumbling purr. Paprika also loves people and chin rubs and will greet his foster at the door!

Furry Tales requires kittens to be adopted with a sibling/friend or for there to already be a friendly cat in their furrever home. Cayenne and Paprika would love to be adopted together! They are always snuggled together. They are both very well-behaved kittens too and have great litter habits.

🐾 Meet Dale & Roderick 🐾

These 2.5-month-old siblings had a rough start to life, but you’d never know it now — they’ve blossomed into happy, healthy, and playful kittens who are ready for their forever home.

Dale 💕 is a loving, confident little girl with perfect litter box habits and a fondness for chasing wand toys, wrestling with her brother, and curling up in your lap for snuggles. She has a beautiful coat, an adorable tummy, and loves to watch the world go by from the window.

Roderick 💙 was the smallest of his litter and had to fight hard to grow strong — and he’s thriving now! He’s playful, energetic, and always ready for an adventure with his sister.

These two would love to be adopted together so they can keep making mischief (and memories) side by side.

🐾 Eversong – A sweet tabby boy with a gentle soul. Eversong is a total lap cat who adores cuddles and being around people. He’s playful, friendly with other cats, and has a big appetite for both food and love. The last of his litter waiting to be adopted, you can find Eversong at PetSmart Heron 🐾💖

Jed✨adopted ️✨️, Jerome✨adopted️✨️, and Jethro✨Adopted ️✨️ are looking for their furrever homes! 🥰

Jed is a very energetic, 3-month-old, orange kitten. Jerome is a very confident, 3-month-old, orange kitten. Jethro is an adorable, 3-month-old, tabby kitten. They are all currently at PetSmart Merivale (1585 Merivale Road, Ottawa)! If you would like to book a meet and greet to go in to see them and potentially adopt them, you can do so by applying online for adoption. Otherwise, you can always go look at them through the playroom window!

Jed is so silly and playful! He runs so fast during his zoomies. Everything is a toy to Jed, but his favourites are wand toys, balls, springs, toy mice, and shoes. He doesn’t have too much time for cuddles since he is always on the go. Jed loves to play with other kittens and outlasts all of them during their playtime!

Jerome is very curious! He loves playing, but also cuddling and napping. Jerome chases springs/balls all around the room and jumps over anything in his way. He also enjoys watching the other kittens from a perch and laying on top of the kitten nap pile. Jerome loves to purr, get pets, belly rubs, and snuggles!

Jethro is very sweet! He loves to cuddle and sleep on your lap. Jethro has a very soft and quiet demeanour. Wand toys are his favourite, but he will also play with any kind of string and tassel. Jethro can also be a very funny kitten and enjoy a run around the room and wrestle with the other kittens!

Furry Tales requires kittens to be adopted with a sibling/friend, or for there to already be a friendly cat in their furrever home. These kittens would love to be adopted together/in a pair!

There’s nothing better than having a rescue cat... except having TWO rescue cats! 💕 It’s our favourite time of the week, Adopter Updates—cats who were adopted from our rescue and are now thriving with their fellow feline friends in their forever homes.

While cats tend to love their space, cats tend to socialize better when they have a companion in their home. Cats are social creatures, and many thrive with a fellow feline friend by their side!
This week, we’re highlighting Snow & Xena, Charlotte Rose & Mr Furley, and Bulgar & Quinoa, who are all living their best lives with their humans and furry friends to keep them company! 😻

Thank you to all of our adopters for taking care of our friends and giving them amazing forever homes. 💞 Seeing our rescue cats find not just loving homes, but companions for life, fills our hearts with joy.

🌙✨ Meet Moonlight & Sahara ✨🌙

These 3-month-old kittens are ready to bring love, fun, and plenty of purrs into their forever homes! 💕
We are at Merivale PetSmart, 1585 Merivale Road.

🐾 Moonlight – A sleek little mini-panther with a personality that shines as bright as his name. He’s playful, confident, and loves chasing the laser pointer — but when the games are done, he turns into the sweetest lap cat who soaks up all the cuddles.

🐾 Sahara – A gentle and playful girl with a sunny personality. She happily joins in on playtime but also treasures quiet moments by the window. When you walk by, she’ll “dance” with excitement, showing just how happy she is to see you.

Each of these kittens has their own unique charm, but both are full of love and ready to find their forever families. 🏡💖
