🛠️ SILLY CAT OF THE WEEK: YUZU 🛠️
Fresh off a 12-hour shift on the job site (or so he wants you to think), Yuzu is a 1.5-month-old buff and white kitten who’s absolutely mastered the art of the dramatic stretch 😹

Whether he's supervising from his bed, testing the limits of his tiny toes, or just taking a well-earned catnap, this hardworking little guy brings big tradesman energy in a very small package. Hard hat not included, but we’re pretty sure he’d wear one if it meant more attention.

*Yuzu isn’t quite ready for adoption just yet*, but keep your eyes peeled! Once this little foreman is cleared for his next project (aka finding a forever home), you’ll hear about it on our socials!

Marmalade can’t wait to meet his furrever family! 🥰

Marmalade is a handsome, 3-month-old, male, orange kitten. He is a really funny kitten! Marmalade is currently at PetSmart Merivale (1585 Merivale Road, Ottawa), if you would like to see him!

Marmalade is a true lap cat! He loves to sit with people. Marmalade is also a very silly kitten. He loves to play. Marmalade is very photogenic and takes gorgeous photos. He is very confident and so social. Marmalade is so cute!

Furry Tales requires kittens to be adopted with a sibling/friend, or for there to already be a friendly cat in their furrever home waiting to meet them. This helps their development to being happy and well-behaved cats.

Zenith is a sweet, 3-month-old, male, black kitten. He is a very calm kitten! Zenith is currently at PetSmart Merivale (1585 Merivale Road, Ottawa), if you would like to go see him!

Zenith acts like a big brother to the other cats! He loves to watch and observe everyone. Zenith is also so snuggly and cuddles everyone. He even grooms the other kittens to make sure they look their best when meeting their potential furrever families. Zenith is so caring!

Whether it’s chasing toys, play-wrestling with her siblings, or climbing into your lap for a post-play nap.

😸Gamora is incredibly social and gets along beautifully with both cats and dogs. She’d thrive in a home where she has a buddy to keep up with her antics, either a fellow kitten or a playful resident cat.

🐾Furry Tales requires young kittens like Gamora to be adopted with a friend or go to homes with another young feline friend to help them grow and thrive socially.

It’s a busy weekend!! Pop-Up Adoption Event (Heron Rd, Nepean) & Geek Hoard Haul (Kanata): we’ll have tables at both locations, stop by and pick up some goodies to help the cats! Read on to see all the fun we have planned 👀

**Saturday & Sunday**

This weekend, we’re having a pop-up adoption event at PetSmart Heron (1600 Heron Road)! 🐈

There will also be a merch table open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday! The fun doesn’t end there, we will also be having a canned food drive and a Starbucks gift basket raffle!

We will have the following kitties arriving on Friday – Bonnie, Doug, Ellis, Ian, Indigo, James, and Spunky will all be there!

They will only be at Heron for the weekend, so don’t wait if you’re interested in seeing them in person!

If you’re considering adopting any of these cuties, pre-apply so you can be approved to meet them using our our Adoption form.

Roll for Initiative…. and join us at Geek Hoard Haul! Furry Tales Cat Rescue is pouncing booth F6 at the Geek Hoard Haul on June 21st, 2025 at Sensplex Kanata.

Come on over and visit us to snag some paw-some geeky treasures and enter our epic raffle basket, with all proceeds helping the kitties in care at the rescue. Free entry, free parking, and a chance to be a local hero by supporting our furry friends!

It’s our favourite time of the week, Adopter Updates—cats who were adopted from our rescue and are now thriving with their fellow furry friends in their forever homes. This week, we can’t get enough of these cuddly companions that our alumni have found in their furever homes! 🥹

Huge thank you to the families of Gus Gus, Millie, and Snuggles & Smooch for letting us know how our Furry Tales Alumni are doing! We’re so happy to see them getting along with their new friends, and living their best lives! 💞 Seeing our rescue cats find not just loving homes, but companions for life, fills our hearts with joy.
