Rose is probably one of our most high maintenance Nesters. With a history of heart disease, anxiety, depression, and battling her own hormones - she is a bird that can never be out of your sight.

With her past of swallowing random things (fabric, wood, plastic etc) she can only have soft foods because of the previous crop surgeries to remedy obstructions.

Today she is seeing Dr. McDonald.

For the past week she has been doing something that she hasn't done in a long time. She bangs her beak on her cage (or anywhere with a hard surface) and then forces herself to vomit.

Her weight is stable, and her appetite is good. She has scheduled naps everyday

Hopefully we will find out if this issue is behaviour or medical.

Keep our girl in your thoughts, she is here at Night Owl Bird Hospital bossing the staff around as I am sure you can imagine.

Birds are so susceptible to any kind of air pollution, including dust (which they create a lot of!) and any other environment factors. We are asking community to help us out as we really need some replacement IQ air filters so we can make sure they are breathing optimal air. Any contribution is greatly appreciated, or simply sharing this post along! These are on our Amazon wish list, though any contributions can be sent through E-Transfer (to [email protected]), Zeffy or PayPal! Thank you in advance for caring and helping us show up for these magical creatures. The Nesters and their caretaking team thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Our goal is $1100 to cover the cost of the two sets of filters, with any additional funds being put directly towards the birds care, food, medications, etc.
