The BC SPCA relies heavily on public donations to care for vulnerable animals. Our team is fundraising for areas of greatest need, so your donations will go toward funding cruelty investigations, providing medical care for a large animal rescue effort, being there for animals during disasters like wildfires or floods, and more.

Dear friends,

On June 23, Mahm will be locked in the car for an hour to bring awareness to animals in need for the BC SPCA (BCSPCA) Lock-In for Love fundraiser.

✨ DONATIONS MADE TODAY (June 17) WILL BE MATCHED by Petsecure Pet Health Insurance ✨

The SPCA receives calls every summer regarding dogs left inside hot cars. Dogs can only cool off by sweating through their nose and paws, so their internal temperature rises much faster than humans. It can take as little as 10 minutes for irreparable brain damage to occur, or even death. Mahm is choosing to be locked in but pets don't have the same choice.
