- Cowhorse bloodlines
- Quality feet & bone
- Good conformation

ONLINE AUCTION
AQHA Gelding is being offered through a Facebook Auction by the Lakeland College Equine SMF unit.
•
SWR DUAL GUNS, or Benji as we call him, is a 2021 AQHA gelding standing around 14.2hh. Benji was a tough start and had a couple months of groundwork before being ridden. He had about 35 rides on him at the time we pulled him from the sale and has not been worked with since, around mid-January. In his time under saddle he was ridden outside, crossed the tarp and bridge, exposed to cattle and was developing nice collection. Full disclosure, he is quite cold-backed, has bucked under saddle. He can be standoffish when you are first getting to know him, but once he is comfortable with you he is good to catch and picks up feet good. He had his feet trimmed a couple of times. He is being sold as is and will need a restart. He will need an experienced & confident rider . He is a athletic horse and shows a lot of potential. However he needs more consistency and miles than we are able to offer him through the program.

Terms and Conditions for Facebook Sales
1. Only bids on original Facebook post will be accepted. (Bids on shared posts not acceptied). Bids must be $100 increments. Bidders who back out after bidding will be removed from group.
2. Bidders must have a current and active Facebook account, unless approved by SMF Equine to bid by text or phone. Their bids will be posted by SMF Equine as they come in. Bids will close at 11:30am on Friday April 5th or after no bids have been received for 5 minutes from the previous bid after 11:30am
3. Horses must be paid for within 5 days, between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM after the auction ends. Payment will be made by cash or certified cheque payable to Lakeland College. GST will be added to the winning bid.
4. Highest or any bid not necessarily accepted if below our reserved price.

Yesterday was a huge success! We would like to thank all of our buyers and everyone who was a part of the 2024 Roundup Sale!

Our c**t starters put time, dedication, effort into these horses! We are proud of you! Congratulations to the other SMF teams on a great sale!

We are pleased to say Junebug was our high seller and $17,500 will be added to the Tiana Friesen Memorial Foundation! It was a bittersweet moment! We are happy Tiana’s legacy will be remembered!

Today the c**ts headed to the vet clinic. Theo, Marvin, Junebug, and Dale all passes their vet checks! Unfortunately when we arrived at the vet clinic Jerry slipped when getting out of the trailer, and during his exam he was a little stiff. The vet did not pass Jerry on his vet check. Jerry has always travelled sound up to today and we will guarantee Jerry to be sound! All five horses will still be up for Auction tomorrow. When Lakeland alumna Tiana Friesen passed away in 2023 at the age of 21, she left behind a legacy of being bright, curious and determined not to let anything stand in her way. It’s a legacy that her family is determined to see live on through the Tiana Friesen Memorial Fund and Tiana’s horse, June Bug.

June Bug was donated to the Lakeland College agricultural sciences animal science technology program's equine major. Students in the program have been working with her and she will be one of the horses for sale at the annual Round Up sale on March 23, with proceeds from her sale supporting the memorial fund.
