Pork makes up a large portion of our raw food blend and we’re often asked about our source and processing procedures.

Most people associate pork with factory farming, animals living their lives crowded inside cement buildings, squealing, fighting, mechanically fed & watered and never seeing the light of day😔

Ofcourse this is no way for any living creature to live its life and an unhappy and stressed animal will never do as well as a happy and healthy one.

This is why our pigs live their lives outdoors free to roam and graze and play in the mud as pigs are meant to do! This ensures that the finished product has grown to its full potential and is packed with all the healthy ingredients necessary to help provide a nutritious meal for our pets!!

While most parents were busy wrapping presents and putting them under the tree, we were out in the shop grinding meat because wether it’s Christmas, New Years, Hanukah or solstice…the dogs gotta eat! 🐶

A rescue dog is always a bit of a gamble, you never know what you’re gonna get and what their past has been but our number one priority is being good with kids. Yes Bowie has chewed some stuff and stolen some food off the counter, but he’s been amazing with his little sister and with a little more work and training the rest will come🐶 We can already see that these two are going to be the best of friends and maybe even partners in crime 🙄

Healthier Weight

Because you are replacing grains and corn with meat and organs, this has a direct impact on your dog’s weight and muscle mass. Kibble contains a lot of carbohydrates. Grain-based foods break down into sugars, which causes your dog to have frequent energy crashes and to put on extra weight.

When you switch to raw, your dog’s energy stays much more level, because the meat is digesting properly and the body is using almost every single bit of it for fuel. In our carnivorous dogs, the body simply cannot do this with grains or corn.

Improved Skin and Coat

One of the most instantaneous and noticeable changes owners observe in their dogs upon switching to raw feeding is the marked improvement of their animal's skin and coat. Improved Stools💩
Dogs who switch to raw diets tend to eliminate a lot less waste, a lot less frequently. Their stools also improve in consistency and odor. Dogs on commercially produced diets can tend to have diarrhea or constipation more often (which is again attributed to the unnecessary carbohydrates found in kibble). Usually after a few days a raw food stool will dry out and crumble into dust eliminating the need to be constantly picking it up!

Raw diets and diets containing bones have both been observed to improve dental health in canines. Dogs have teeth which are designed for ripping and tearing flesh from bone, and for chewing bone into tiny digestible bits. Advocates of raw diets make the point that kibble requires no ripping and tearing, and it sticks to the teeth.

This could explain why 85% of adult dogs have dental disease. Gingivitis is serious enough on its own, but it can also lead to other health issues as well. When dogs are fed foods which promote bad gums and weak teeth over a long period of time, they risk losing their teeth or developing more serious issues caused by bacteria harbored in the mouth.
