Dog For Life is a very small non-profit rescue group who work and live in Puerto Vallarta and Victoria. Dog For Life differs from other, larger rescue groups in that we personally work with each dog in Mexico and are part of their entire journey from the shelter in Puerto Vallarta to their “furever” homes. We take great care in ensuring they are well and placed in the best possible homes. Last yea

r March 2020 when pandemic was hitting we started a feeding program to help the strays and also help feed to dogs whoes families could not even feed themselves let alone their dogs . Volunteers went into communities weekly supplying dog food for 7 months. Currently we are still filling feeding tubes daily to continue one year later to help feeding the dogs ..

One of our beautiful dogs at Refugio Teca Animals is in need of some medical treatment and we are reaching out for donations . Its not very often we ask but we have too many expenses and need to also buy more nexguard and dewornkng medication to help prevent the dogs from getting sick . We have 40 dogs still in out care as we keep bringing them in and keep working on adoptions . We need to raise 1000 cad for vanillas treatment and another 700 cad in monthly donations for tick flea and heartworm meds . That can be done by sponsoring a dog for 50 cad a month . Please help us to help the dogs stay healthy while we work on adoptions . We have managed to get 44 adoptions in the last year or so so we are making it happen .

URGENT please read home needed PV
Good morning we have a problem and need to find a solution so we are reaching out . One of our beautiful happy dogs hss tested positive for heartworm . She is just 4 years old and still healthy . All the dogs are on treatment. But its happened afther testing twice she is positive.

The good news is we can treat her snd although it will be expensive we will do it. It will take 5 months for her treatment and she needs to not be with other dogs.

So here is our problem she is of course in puerto vallarta and we have no where she can stay for 5 months to have her treatment as we have 40 dogs in our care and she cannot be with other dogs until she finishes her treatment . If we cannot find a solution she will have to be put down .

Does anyone have the space to help is help Vanilla to save her life ?
