Aquaponic Basil, Romaine Lettuce, Simpson Lettuce, Red leaf Lettuce & Tomatoes🌱🥬🍅

Reorganized the floating raft system. Moved the taller basil and tomato plants to the back so as not to block the light and started testing other varieties of lettuce in system which seem to be doing well.

Greenhouse update: 🍅🧅🍓🌱🥕

Tomatoes finally coming in. Green onions, sweet potatoes, carrots and ginger doing well. Still waiting on strawberries to come in.
Garlic for some reason has not done very well for me. Any tips or tricks welcomed :)

Starting to see a lot of success with growing duckweed🌱🌿as another source of food for my Tilapia.

From my research Duckweed can have a protein content as high as 35% per dry weight and can double their mass every 1-2 days. Pretty cool.

Harvested my aquaponic green onions today. Overall I give it B- in the aquaponic system. Great to get them growing but I think I will transfer them to the greenhouse once they grow out and get a good root system established, so I can get them to seed faster. Regardless looking forward to adding this to my meals.....yum😋

Lettuce, basil and onions have really taken off in the floating raft system. Garlic is struggling a bit but doing ok.

Aquaponics lettuce update: 🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬
The lettuce has really started to take off in the floating raft system. Seems to be growing faster in the raft than the media bed. I added more aeration to the floating raft system so that could have helped as well.
