The $60 covers the first exam, vaccine and dewormer for a kitten.

Thank you!
The rain may be done for today but it is pouring for Billy Chunk still!
You remember Billy Chunk came to us back in November with multiple open wounds and a severe infection.
He healed up and eventually went for a dental to remove some infected teeth. He was then ready for adoption or so we thought.
Unfortunately, we noticed that Billy Chunk was having trouble eating again, and our vet found severe stomatitis which is causing his mouth to remain infected, bleeding and painful. He is having difficulty eating and losing quality of life; we are running out of options for him. He has been on a variety of antibiotics and pain killers but these are only temporary measures.
We are down to two options for Billy Chunk. He can go for an emergency dental tomorrow to remove his remaining teeth which will cost $1200-$1300 (dental plus medication) or he continues to deteriorate and we make the difficult decision to euthanize this sweet chunky love bug so he doesn’t have to suffer.
He has come a long way and we are hoping we can get enough donations to give him a chance with the dental tomorrow. There is a slight possibility if the dental doesn’t work he will still have to be euthanized but he will have been given every chance we could give him.
To help Billy Chunk please donate!

We are struggling to find homes for the feluk babies. They are super loving, playful and purrfect!
They would make a wonderful addition to any home; the only catch is they can’t be around non-Fe-leuk cats. They are wonderful with children and dogs! These kittens would do great in pairs.
Please share in hopes of finding forever for these sweet babies.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting please message us!
With thanks to the Animal Food Bank Canada, Feed The Furbabies Canada and the Greater Good Charities, we were so happy to receive part of the 37 pallets of food and supplies that was recently donated by Chewy Canada into Manitoba. This donation went to support many rescues and communities across Manitoba and could not have been more timely. So many pet owners are struggling, as are organizations who help them, and rescues and shelters tasked with dealing with the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Manitoba. Without donations like these, so many dogs and cats would go hungry.
A special shout out to the Laing Family Foundation for their incredibly generous donation of $4,600 to cover freight, and to Bruce and his team at Westman Courier for allowing this donation to be delivered and stored at his warehouse free of charge.
It truly takes a village, and this donation has helped over 25 organizations and over 20 communities in Manitoba. We are so incredibly thankful.

BILLY CHUNK IS UP FOR ADOPTION!
Billy Chunk came to us in November from rural Manitoba with a large neck wound. He has been a street cat most of his life and as a result he is FIV-positive, but that doesn’t stop him! He is the sweetest, chunkiest, loveliest boy ever with a big meow!
Billy Chunk does well with other cats. Despite his FIV status he can still live with non-FIV cats. He also seems to do well with kids!
If you are interested in meeting Billy Chunk, he is awaiting his adoring public (and forever family) at Petland Polo Park on St.James. Go show him some love today!
If you are interested in adopting Billy Chunk or have any questions please message us!
Best of luck at finding forever Billy Chunk!
Three years ago today a random trip to a garbage dump resulted in the start of our journey. Who would have thought we would have come so far.
Thank you all to 3 years and we look forward to many more!
Wonderful news - Goldie is HOME SAFE!!!!

RED ALERT!
SHARE FAR AND WIDE!
WOMC alumni Goldie is missing!!
Goldie is a senior cat that needs medication for his thyroid and seizure disorder. He was last seen about 1 am on Horton Avenue West between Madeline and Hoka.
He has a history of being skittish so PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR CHASE! Please message us or call his owner Vivian with any possible sightings!
We have done all the basic tricks to entice him home and we have people canvassing the area in hopes someone has spotted him.
Vivian is heartbroken, Goldie needs to come home! Please share!!
Our gorgeous Merry is still looking for her forever home. This affectionate, chunky, low-key lady will give you so much love! She's not a fan of other cats and would need to be an "only." She's patiently waiting at Petland Regent. We're reducing her adoption fee to $100! Is she the girl for you?
Update: sweet Hali passed away today; she had severe dilated cardiomyopathy and there was too much stress on her tiny body. Fly free, beautiful baby. 😭💔
This isn't how we were hoping to debut our newest teenie baby, but this li'l cutie is Hali (Halifax). She had her first check-up today and was found to have a significant heart murmur.💔
The vet suspects that congenital heart disease is the reason she is not thriving (she is much smaller than her sibs). She's not feeling well, and is getting fluids and syringe feeding until she goes for echocardiogram on Thursday. We're hoping that there will be some medical or surgical therapy available for her 🤞.
The echo will be at least $300 and our vet bill already stands at $3250. We need your help for Hali and all her rescue buddies!
Please donate!
Call Centennial Animal Hospital at 204-269-8162 to donate by phone
Or, email [email protected] to etransfer
Let these babies be the lights on a gloomy cool day!
This is the Space litter. They are about 7 months old and have been in care since they were 4 weeks old.
You may wonder why these floofy love bugs are still in care. Unfortunately they have all tested positive for Feluk, aka Feline Leukemia virus (FELV). This means they can not be around other cats and need to be kept strictly indoors and receive regular (yearly at least) vet visits! Feluk is only contagious to other cats and can not be transmitted to dogs.
Comet, Galaxy, Celeste and Cosmo are good with dogs, kids and everyone! They are fully vaccinated, dewormed and fixed!
They all need homes that are willing to show them all the love in the world.
If interested please pm us; if you can not adopt, please share this post!
We are getting close!
Billy Chunk goes this week for his dental!
Thanks to everyone who bought perogies we raised $750 towards the dental cost!
However we are still about $1000 short!
Can anyone help Billy Chunk on the last step of his pre adoption journey!
E-transfers can be sent to [email protected]
Or by calling Centennial Animal Hospital

IMMEDIATE INTAKE FREEZE!
Help needed please!
Our vet bill is sitting at about $2700, and we have more expenses coming up. Our perogy fundraiser next week will cover half of Billy Chunk's dental, but we still need to raise funds to cover the other half, and clear off the rest of our bill 😬.
If you're able, please donate! Every bit helps!
Donations can be sent to [email protected], or can be made directly to Centennial Animal Hospital at 204-269-8162.
We are sold out for the perogies!
The perogy fundraiser has raised 1/2 of what we need for Billy Chunks dental! Thank you all so much!
Billy’s dental is estimated between $1600 and $1900 and pre booked for April 30th! He is looking at getting 8 teeth minimum removed.
Donations for the remaining amount can be sent to [email protected]
Or by calling Centennial Animal Hospital 1-204-269-8162 and mentioning Billy Chunk.
Thank you all again! 😻
UPDATE! Sold out! Thank you all!
OH NO! 😭
Billy Chunk was told we’ve only sold less than 20 dozen perogies out of 125 dozen!
He is worried with a little over 2 weeks before cut off we won’t get the sales in to help fund his dental!
His teeth are broken right down to the gum line! He needs the dental to remove them so he can live pain free. This is the last step before he is ready for adoption.
To order please contact Susan Minter Noga.
Please remember we are doing a split fundraiser with another animal rescue so when ordering please state which rescue your order is for!
It’s March 10!
Which means it’s the perfect time to introduce the Mario litter! (If you know you know 😜)
These little beauties are 3 months old and will be ready for adoption in approximately 2 weeks.
The litter consists of 4 boys and 2 girls.
Welcome Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Goomba and Bowser!
Donations to there care and to help other kittens like them can be sent to [email protected]
Mr. Gigi ~ Adopted March 2024
Billy Chunk here to remind you to order some yummy perogies!
Please contact Susan Minter Noga to order!
As a friendly reminder we are doing a split fundraiser with Ourearthangelstotherescue MB, so when sending in orders please mention what rescue you are buying from otherwise your order may not be honoured.
Thanks!
P.s.
We are looking for volunteers to help with perogies on April 5th and 6th. Please message us for more details!
It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for!
Billy Chunk came to us in mid November with a nasty neck wound and raw bleeding ears.
After weeks of phovia (light therapy) treatment and meds this sweet boy is ready to show you his handsome neck!
Sadly he isn’t ready for adoption just yet. His teeth are busted and some are worn down to the gum line, he will need a major dental that will cost around $1600 dollars! 😱
To help afford that we are doing a joint perogy fundraiser to raise some of the funds for his surgery.
Under the guidance of The Doughnators we are aiming to sell 125 dozen perogies by March 29th with pick up on April 6th!
If you’d like to help please contact Susan Minter Noga to order or donate supplies!
MYLES IS READY TO MEET YOU!
Myles is a super loving 6-7 month old boy. He was found in rural Manitoba and brought into care with his suspected sister Georgia.
Myles loves cats and dogs. He is wild about toys and will snuggle in and watch TV with you. We suspect that Myles will be good with kids as well, due to his sweet demeanor.
If you need a Myles in your life, head on down to Petland Polo Park and meet him in the cat room!
This week's adoptions!
River ~ Adopted February 2024
🙀 HELP! 🙀
Bowser is an 8 week old baby boy who has a nasty umbilical hernia that needs to be fixed asap!
An umbilical hernia is caused by a hole in the abdominal wall not fully closing and the intestines poke through. If not treated he could have life altering complications or even death!
We couldn’t leave this little boy to suffer, so he will be going for urgent surgery tomorrow to try fixing the hernia!
Donations towards the surgery are needed! We suspect the surgery will cost between $300 - $500 depending on any complications.
Donations can be sent to….
[email protected]
Or by calling Centennial Animal Hospital
1-204-269-8162
Keep your fingers crossed for Baby Bowser tomorrow! 🥺
We have 2 mamas hoping to retire!
Nezzie is a sweet tortie who just finished nursing her last litter of kittens.
Socks is a 1.5 year old whose kittens unfortunately did not make it.
They have appointments on Monday to be spayed if we can find sponsors. Each cat will cost approximately $150 so $300 approx for both!
E-transfers can be sent to [email protected]
Or by calling Centennial Animal Hospital
1-204-269-8162
Please help these mamas retire so we can help control the cat population.
Did you know that we’ve had brothers Laddie and Mr.Gigi at Petland Polo Park since December 28th?
These handsome boys have spent just over a month looking for their forever homes with no luck 😞.
They are both sweet love bugs who are about 7-8 months old. Both are good with cats and dogs.
We are all surprised they haven’t been scooped up yet!
Please head down to Petland Polo Park to meet them and share the post!
Good luck boys!
In November we welcomed a beautiful family of 5!
Unfortunately when Mama Moon was fixed it was discovered she tested positive for FeLV (feline leukemia virus). All four of her kittens also tested positive for this virus. We'll be retesting them in a few weeks, but there's a good chance that they will still be affected. At this time she and all her babies are asymptomatic and don’t need any medical treatment. There is a possibility down the road they will need some additional vetting.
The other hardship is they are contagious to other cats, which makes adoptions hard. They would need to either be only cats, or live with other FeLV-positive cats. There is no risk of their giving FeLV to humans, dogs, or other non-cat pets
Moon is between 1-2 years old and her babies are just turning 4 months old.
Moon is good with dogs and should be good with other cats.
Her gorgeous babies are good with dogs, cats and kids. They would be great in pairs.
Please message if interested in possibly adopting one or more of these sweet babies.
If you can’t adopt, please share!
Herbie is celebrating Transformation Tuesday!
Herbie came into care in the end of November after being found in rough shape in rural Manitoba. We aren’t sure of his story, but suspect that he was either thrown from a vehicle or hit by one. Fortunately, despite a lot of swelling, a facial fracture, and a broken tooth, Herbie has made a full recovery.
Herbie is now a loving cuddle bug who got a second chance thanks to kind hearted people who reached out.

Earlier this week a wonderful lady retired! We made this post to say a very special thank you to Lori! Lori is the reason behind Petland's support for our rescue. Thanks to her, we get food donations, in-store placement for our adoptable cats and kittens, adoption event support, and more! Thanks to her believing in us, we have been fortunate enough to grow, and it was her who convinced us to start adopting out cats. I could go on all day about how wonderful Lori is! Happy retirement Lori! May you enjoy your next chapter. You truly deserve it!
Baby, you can drive my car! Yes, I'm gonna be a star! Baby, you can drive my car! And maybe I'll love you! This sweet chunky Billy needs to come into care! He has been around for 5 years, being fed regularly. Based on his current condition another winter outside won’t be a good idea! We are looking for someone to drive him from Neepawa (or Brandon possibly) to Winnipeg ASAP! The sooner he finds a ride, the sooner he can get the help he needs! Once in our care we will be asking for donations for his vetting. Please share in hopes we can find him a ride sooner rather than later!
9 fun filled days later Leo decided he had enough and finally went into the trap! Thank you all for the good thoughts and support. Minus a little sunburn Leo seems to be doing well!
Thank you to all those that donated to Butters vet bill! Unfortunately we didn’t reach our goal but are so much closer now! Congrats to Heidi for winning the gift card! Please pm us to collect!
Butters is feeling better and showing her kitten side. Unfortunately we have received only $40 towards Butters bill of $370. Remember every donation made by tomorrow at midnight is entered to win a $25 Tim’s Card. E-transfers can be sent to [email protected] We will also be selling some baking at next weeks adoption event.
Don’t forget for the month of March $5 from every 60, 75 or 90 minute massage come back to the cats! These spots are still up for grabs message Chantelle Marie RMT for details or follow the link below to book! sage-moon-massage.noterro.com
We’ve been asked to help. This is Willow she is the mother to Goose, Turkey and Ostritch. She was spayed and returned to her owners. Recently they have asked us to help because she has developed this skin rash all around her head and ears and they are looking to surrender her so she receives the treatment she needs. Unfortunately donations have been non existent since early July. And the account is dry which means there is no money to take in any other cats or to help Mama Willow. As it sits we owe Grant Park Animal Hospital around $260. It’s getting harder and harder to say no but with the lack of support and funds it has to be done. If you are willing to donate anything to pay off our bill or so we can get Mama Willow vetted please e-transfer today! [email protected] If you can’t donate please share! Anything is appreciated! Thank you.
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents! Some of you may remember Mama Astrid from our original colony clean up. In the past few months she has grown into a beautiful young lady and has learned how to play and love. Unfortunately her breathing is sounding off and cracklier than it should. She is also having weird stools which means she will need a fecal float/smear. (Photos in the comments) She has an appointment Tuesday the 18th with Dr. Kramer at Grant Park Animal Hospital. However our funds are low and we need some donations to get Astrid checked out. The rough estimate for Tuesday should be between $200 and $300. Donations can be made by calling Grant Park at 1-204-477-8600 under Whats One More Community and the name Astrid. Or etransfers can be sent to [email protected] Thank you all and enjoy this update video of Mama Astrid! 🥰
