This is a hard post.

As some of you may know...
Mango is now scheduled for her surgery in January to fix her luxating patella. I'm incredibly nervous but I trust the surgeon.

Her insurance IS covering a large chunk of it, but it is still very expensive.

Please consider booking a full groom or quick services with me so I can focus on her recovery 💕

Fear Free visits mean waiting in the car for your clients to do their own paw prints for your project because it means the nail trims will go smoother.

Reactive dogs deserve the world alongside our non reactive friends. I try my best to make each visit as positive as it can be, and sometimes that includes not being present for half of it 💕

The last few days have been so busy! On Friday we went for a visit to see Tikka and Salt for some nail trims and helped ourselves to a lil ol' photoshoot in the backyard 💖

Nail trims are $20 for your first visit, then $15 if you continue booking every 4 weeks ✨
Travel fee is $8 within 20 mins of confusion corner.

🎀 TUCKER 🎀

This handsome Yorkie was the best boy for his first groom with me, and my first full body haircut! 🤯

As a deshed specialist I typically do not take on body cuts, but I am SO looking forward to seeing him again in a couple months!

Tucker received:
-General wellness check
-Nail trim and file
-Ear cleaning
-Pad shave
-Deep cleansing bath
-HV blow drying on low for his senior skin 💖
-1/2 inch clipper comb backwards on body
-3/8 inch clip forward on legs and under chin
-Scissor tidy legs and style face

And went home smelling like Christmas cookies ✨

Please note that I have not pursued learning body cuts in depth, or offer them regularly. I am taking on clip clients as a trial basis 💕

Friendly reminder to BRUSH YOUR PETS 💕

This is a tennis ball-sized pile of matting I shaved off a Lionhead rabbit today. It was nearly one solid clump attached to his tail and bum area. He can now freely move his tail and isn't sitting on a large pile of matted hair. He also received a nail trim.

If you're going to get a long haired pet, learn how to take care of it.

He was just adopted by one of my current clients and he came to them in this condition. His new owners are working hard to get him into tip top shape and he probably feels so much better! 💖

Ruby (Jack Russel Terrier) and Bella (Mixed) came to visit us last week for some pawdicures! 💅

Both girls received nail trims and pad shaves! And of course, who can resist a photoshoot?

Did you know keeping your dogs' paw pads free of excess hair prevents build up of debris, snow, ice, yeast, etc which can all cause painful sores?

Keep an eye on your pups peets this winter, and give me a shout if they're needing a trim! 🥰

Huge shoutout to everyone who came to visit us at today's market! It was our most successful event by FAR! 😁

We did a handful of temporary dye, and completed 5 nail trims, raising $25 for Popcorns & Binkies Rescue Haven 🤩 Thank you all so much! This buys them a bag of hay, food, or 1 rabbit vaccine.

💢💢 THIS IS INCREDIBLY URGENT 💢💢

Space. The reality is, without an urgent space (within the next few weeks), our Selkirk project will be dead in its tracks.

We so appreciate everyone who has reached out with photos of for lease signs. But in reality, this isn't what we need. It's too late for mainstream commercial building leases. We need immediate possession and a break on rent. We can't afford $5,000 a month. We can't commit to 5 year leases.

We need an empty warehouse, garage, office, something with at least 1,000-1,500 sq feet. Not fancy. We can deal with "dingy" - we have ways to make it safe and comfortable for the rabbits. It needs to be heated for the winter.

We are on our knees begging for a break. Please, talk to your family, your friends, your neighbors - someone, somewhere, must know someone who has something. We have over 5,000 followers on FB and nearly 3,000 on Instagram. This can reach the right person.

Please, without this , the fate of the current and future generation of rabbits in Selkirk are grim, at best.

My fall availability for full grooms is very limited due to a busy spooky season!

However, we have a handful of great quick services that can be done any day of the week! 😍

🐾 Nail Trims- $20
-Maintain good paw health by booking every 4 weeks and only pay $15!
-Available for dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds
-Add nail polish, paw lotion, or a pad shave for $5 (dogs only)

🐾 Dye
-Add some colour to your pooch! Permanent and temporary available.
First area- $25
Additional areas- $15
Stencil (smooth/short coats only)- $15

🐾 Sani Trim- $10
-For those in between full grooms who need to stop getting their business stuck in their fur 😜

🐾 Teeth Brushing- $5
-Choose between Poultry or Vanilla flavoured paste and take home a new toothbrush!

🐾 20 minute brush/blow out- $20
-For those dropping coat who may not be able to handle a full groom
-Can add extra increments if needed!

🐾 In person grooming consult- $30
-This service is great for first time pet owners, or those who would like help looking for the best groomer for them. For example, I don't do shaves, but I can help determine the state of your pets coat, gives tips on how to prep them for their next groom, and help find a groomer in your area that is highly recommended.

-Take home a physical photo of your pup after their visit for $5!

🐾 Paw/Nose Print Art
-Take home a physical gift from your dog and me! Seasonal crafts and art using your dogs nose or paw print. Prices range from $5-15.

We're moving!! Only 5 mins from our current residence, with plenty of street parking, and much more space!

I also have a very busy October with acting at a haunted attraction and I need days off due to chronic pain; September is just full of events so check your newsletter to see where we'll be 😜
