Therapy dog volunteer recruitment THIS week!

🕒 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

📍 45 Hurst Way - Joyce Gauthier Training Centre

The WHS therapy dogs attend sessions in schools, libraries, senior homes, special events, 1-on-1s, and more. We’re looking for confident dogs who are comfortable around other dogs and people, and can volunteer between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on weekdays.

Bring your bestie to our event for an on-the-spot assessment, or share with a canine-human duo you think fits the bill!

Last weekend our One Health team was up in Sagkeeng with WCVM Today and Manitoba Underdogs Rescue Inc. for a wellness and spay and neuter clinic. In total we got 93 dogs through surgery, and a bunch more were topped up on their vaccines and vet checks.

Spay and neuter is integral to community health, for the pets AND their people. We're so grateful to have incredible partners making clinics like this possible.

If your pet gets out, having a license helps ensure they'll make it back home, and fast. It also helps avoid the fine - $250 if you're caught without one!

The rats are back!
We took baby rats into care last month, and they’ve been multiplying like... rats! Now that they’re healthy and back from foster, they’re ready for homes.
These pals make great pets, and MUST be adopted in pairs, preferably trios. They’re also included in our Movin’ On Up adoption promo, so come down and adopt 3 for $15, and help us make room for other critters who need our help.

What a night! Seeing our community of supporters come together is always a treat, and our Beatles' Bow Wow Ball was no exception. You raised just over $160K while dancing the night away and winning prizes!

Adventure pup incoming! 🐶🌳

"Blackjack has thrived in nature and in the city. He squared away his first season planting trees in Ontario, and has settled into life in Montreal with his dog pack at the park across the street.

He's quick to learn new tricks and eager for our next adventure into the wilderness!!"
