Welcome to Alfie's Adventures. I have lived with, and loved Afghan hounds for more than 40 years. I co-owned a CC with Carly and we had many adventures.

Alfie came to live with us on Sunday, June 5. He is 7 months old and has made himself at home

Alfie has been busy …
Although he didn’t earn any q’s in Rally Advanced at the South Shore Kennel Club, we aren’t giving up. Just need to figure out why he seizes up in the ring!
But showing that he can run fast … he ‘chased the bunny’ in his first Chase Ability trial, earning 3 lovely q’s towards his title (only 1 judge at the trials and to earn CA title you need 2 different judges).
Not taking much of a break, this week he earned his Canine Good Neighbor title.

Although not a great performance last weekend … Alfie is currently #1 crested in ckc rally obedience!
Hopefully his next trial, will be back to his energetic self!
This was his second leg in Rally Advanced!

Austin’s first dog show. He was the only Baby Puppy Crested and went on to compete in the Toy Group with 6 other lovely baby puppies. Silky Terrier came away with the top honor.

Alfie & Austin had a play date today … we are super pleased with how well they get along. Sometimes the play looks a little like mini wrestlers!

Austin was busy on the weekend learning tricks. He earned his first title

Austin’s first walk down to the lake, a bit soggy, but he seemed to enjoy the fresh warmish temperatures… stayed with me for a bit of cleaning up around the yard.
Alfie was also enjoying the walk to the lake. We haven’t been down there in a few months.

Austin is visiting me (grandma) for a few days and found a sunny spot. I put his little bed near the patio door and after a busy morning (crate games, it’s your choice, baby bump jump, Vito game and zooming with Alfie)
he is enjoying sunny nap!

Alfie and Austin came with me to rally obedience class last night. They were both very well behaved. Austin is so much more outgoing than Alfie and strutted around showing off his beautful conformation and outgoing personality.

The boys came to my fitness class today … here in Nova Scotia it was a holiday … so there were a few children who came with their grandmother … and the boys enjoyed their attention. Alfie has come to class multiple times, but today was Austin’s first time. He gave lots of cuddles and kisses!

I got this fence to keep Aura away from Alfie. Had it for about a month and tonight he learned how to use the doggie door! Now he can go in and out as he wants and Aura can’t!!!
