When all is quiet in the barn and y’all can both just breathe ……

We’ve added stocks to the EquiVibe ! This gives horses a better sense of space and security when they are on the Vibe ….. sometimes they relax so much they forget where their feet are ! It helps with loading and unloading them straight and as we increase the intensity of their programs it encourages them to stand square and straight to best benefit from their workouts !

We will be offering retro fit stocks for all Vibe type plates soon ! And stay tuned for more exciting news !

So excited to be working with such a caring and talented team ! Friday was a hard day for all of us but together we work hard , we love each of the horses hard and we are stronger together …. Every horse in the barn matters to us regardless of their winnings , show records or breeding. We have spent our lives dedicated to furthering our skills and fueling our passions for them .

Post your questions or topics below that you would like to see covered , nothing is off limits and I’ll pick and choose as we go along ! Sometimes it may be relevant to a current situation or sometimes it may even be new to me so ask away …..

Rehab , conditioning , foaling , reproduction , training , conditioning , wounds, experiences….. or any other ideas y’all have ! It helps me stay educated and current on what my clients may be going through too so I love research and problem solving too !

Side note …. These Hay Boss feeders (or nets) are great ways to ensure your stalled equines get enough constant roughage intake , and are great boredom busters during stall rest !

A little ZORRO update ……

He says “ HAPPY NEW YEAR “ to all his followers !
He celebrated with a very sound lunging , and even broke into a beautiful lope (turned buck fest!) and came out of it still sound ! He finished off his last session of 2024 with a Red Light (LLLT) Solarium treatment and some extra treats ❤️

Onward and upward (just not in a bucking fashion ,please!) for the New Year , under saddle walking exercises to start !

New Year (horse related) Resolutions ….

If riding more , improving your horsemanship , increasing your horses fitness or show goals are part of your resolutions then let’s chat !

I will be offering limited lesson spaces for the upcoming months . Can be mounted or groundwork / young horse prep . I currently have some Wednesday afternoon and evening space available ! A monthly arena pass is required , but the arena is heated with ample trailer parking which allows you to haul in and put those lessons to work throughout the month . We will be scheduling on a month to month basis so get in touch if you’d like a price list or more details !

Set the bar high …..

Or at least this weeks poles !

Raising them higher on one side can help even out imbalances , especially on horses who have had a leg injury and lost muscle mass on one side due to stall rest or inactivity . I work them twice as many times over the raised side on their weaker side ,but always remember to still work both sides a bit ! At a walk it encourages them to rate their stride , place their feet where we ask and how we ask as well as give them some mental stimulation so that hand walking exercise isn’t boring !

We also have the blue and white ground pole out front to keep them guessing , and to start Zorro lunging over at a jog! Let’s build those important core muscles !!

Thank you for your support and trust in our program . We appreciate each and every one of you and can’t wait to work with you in the future .!

2024 was a great year ! We had little babies to big babies in the barn. Weirdly we often see “groups” of ailments and this years seemed to be mostly hocks and foals . We love them all and are glad to say they are all on the mend or back to living their best lives . We moved some of our services up the road and joined forces with Eagle Hill Equine to be able to offer more services . We couldn’t ask for better friends to work with !

Here’s to a great year past , and looking forward to what’s to come in 2025 ❤️
