The World Dog Show in Geneva/Switzerland will be held this August.
And even though I don’t see any benefits of showing dogs (beside giggling at funny people wearing funny costumes running in circles), nor will my dogs ever get any trophies (gladly, as I don’t t like dust collecting items at home): I will participate.
For 3 reasons:
1. I live in Switzerland and damn…. Wouldn’t it be cool to win anything while living here 😊 (we are all allowed to dream 😉)
2. As the international spokesperson for the Dali Shar Pei Club in China, it is my responsibility to show the genetically healthy original version my breed to a wider audience!
3. To pay my personal respect to this dogs breeder. The most respected Shar Pei breeder in mainland China, who devoted his life to save and preserve his beloved breed, the Dali Shar Pei ♥️

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) or Bio Sensor Program

1. Tactile Stimulation: the puppy is “tickled” between the foot pads on any one foot with a Q-Tip (3-5 seconds)

2. Head Erect: the puppy is held perpendicular to the ground with both hands, orienting its head above its tail (3-5 seconds)

3. Head Down: the puppy is held perpendicular to the ground with both hands, orienting its tail above its head (3-5 seconds)

4. Supine: the puppy rests with its back in the palms of both hands, with its nose oriented toward the ceiling (3-5 seconds)

5. Thermal Stimulation: a damp towel is placed in fridge for at least 5 minutes; place puppy on towel on all fours and do not restrain movement (3-5 seconds)

Hello world!
South of the Clouds ShanLong (珊龙) arrived today at 2pm via C-section. A wonderful 318g strong girl.
Diting and ShanLong are doing fine.

Thanks to the wonderful team of my local animal clinic for all their amazing support during this pregnancy and today!

Thanks to Huang Zhuhua, who is always available for any stupid question I have.

And a huge thanks to Alison and Merete. You calmed me down when I panicked, you always answered all my questions and helped me finding our right way to do this pregnancy.

Thanks for all your personal messages asking for an update on Diting and her singleton.
Mom and pup are doing fine!
We just came back from the vet with a very nice professional picture of both of them.
