A thought and recap of my last Working Test season.

Time ago, some people said to me: "you do have real Field Trial lines, so you should only compete in Field Trials"

What is your thought about this advice?

In the meantime, I decided to compete in a Working Test season, and the result is worth no more comment.

For anyone in search of a biddable and powerful, partially trained "Field Trial" Labrador Bitch, Delice of Druid's Peak gundogs (2y) is for sale.

This young bitch had a extreme super working test season being placed always within the first two places in Beginners class

And her constant performance has been confirmed last weekend when she won the Finale Working Test.

I am very proud of her 😁

Un weekend intenso e divertente con la Girls Gang

Abbiamo presentato la piccola delle Girls:

Delice of Druid‘s Peak, aka DD, in classe Beginners:

Sabato 1.posto con 77/80 punti
Domenica 2. posto con 75/80 punti

Poi ho portato anche la sua mamma
Black Velvet of Druid‘s Peak aka Juna in Open:

Sabato 2. posto con 69/80 punti
Domenica 2. posto con 72/80 punti dopo un run Off che ho sbagliato io 🙅‍♀️

E ovviamente non abbiamo lasciato a casa la nostra perla rossa
Red Sweet Siggy, aka Ginger, in Open dopo il suo fantastico start nella stagione dei WT:

Sabato 3. posto con 68/80 punti
Domenica 4. posto con 67/80 punti

Siamo contenti e siamo tornati con 5 medaglie e 5 bottiglie di vino 🍷 grazie all’organizzazione e soprattutto alla Girls Band di Druid‘s Peak

Working Test weekend San Bernardino
Organizzato dal Gruppo Cinofilo Novarese e del Sesia, e grazie ai giudici Sergio Franchi, Francesca Lastrucci, I. Pytclick e Thomas Plamboek!

They managed to provide super grounds, nice atmosphere and a smooth test with very challenging tasks for our dogs!
And this made us enjoy the weekend that much that we’ve decided to bring home some results

Red Sweet Siggy aka Ginger was in super shape on Saturday and won her first Open class with Luca Pastorello at three years age!!! What a nice bitch she is, thanks again to Julie Cousin for this red little girl 🧡

Unfortunately they could not repeat that performance on Sunday, in one step they struggled and got penalized but still finished fifth place!

Delice of Druid’s Peak, aka DD, started in Beginners class and she won it on Saturday 🖤and on Sunday she got third! A nice and constant work.
She is a strong and powerful girl and will have for sure a promising future.

Black Velvet of Druid’Peak aka Juna started in open class on both days and had superb jobs done in the field… but… on both days the water 🏊🏼‍♀️step made us struggling. On the first day because of obstacles in the water and today after a fantastic over to the other bank ….and then could not find the dummy searching too deep and me not really helping her 🙃

But, at the end, looking at the points I am satisfied because she did really well.

Thanks to all for that really nice weekend, with a lot of nice people and a lot of laughing in between working with the dogs 🐕

End of Field Trial season.
Full of expectations. Some of them were full filled, others not. But this is what it is: trialing and working with dogs, not machines!

In this last Open Trial in San Bernardino, health problems forced me to give Juna to Luca Pastorello, and both of them made the best out of it by winning the trial!! Bravo super Luca!!!! ❤️

And… her litter sister Black Rose of Druid’s Peak got second place with 2. excellent RCAC owned and handled by Valentina Bano!

Next weekend will be held the Italian Retriever Championship and soon follows the European Retriever Championship in February.

For me and my dogs it will be the 9th participation at the Italian Championship and the 4th at the European Championship, representing Switzerland 🇨🇭.

It makes me proud to breed very consistent dogs giving a lot of joy in working and living with them 🖤.

And here are my team mates with their qualifications and achievements during the last 10 years.

Super surprise : After a great weekend in Tuscany bringing home the CAC and the judges choice award in the Open trial and a very good in the international trial … open the envelope from ENCI and … here we go finally with the official certificate for the Italian Field Trial Champion title for Juna 🖤

A hard but incredible weekend is over…and here we go:

Three amazing trialing days in Sologne at the Championnat ACS/ASUR/APR, top dogs in the card!!!… grounds which we all dream about… superb hosts, great judges and a lot of stunning dog work!

The first two days Juna and me were not lucky and eye wiped twice... but on the third day she showed a very good performance, we mastered all seven retrieves in really challenging conditions, first in walk up and ending with the final duck drive.
She worked concentrated and nicely, but on the last retrieve - which made the difference - I had to handle a bit more in order to bring her over the channelagainst the stream to the right birds and not to finish out of control taking birds which were not asked for (which unfortunately happened to others …)

At the end, out of 17 really top dogs, three dogs finished the trial with 7 retrieves.

Matt, the winner is the stud that I’ve used last year with Juna, the D litter. The consistence of Matt’s performance is still confirming my choice 🥰

Two challenging days in difficult ground. Juna made a superb job over the whole day!

Thanks to Alessandra Franchi and Simona Piazza for the organization and the judges Sergio Franchi and Bruno Julien for appreciating Juna, Black Velvet of Druid’s Peak and awarding her with the 1. Ecc CACIT, it made our day!!

Compliments to all the others in the award and to Francesca Costi gaining the CACIT today. Juna and me were not lucky in the second retrieve whilst in the first she did an eccellent work giving eye wipe to three dogs on a long retrieve out of sight and against the sunshine… Anyway she makes me happy with her constant performance in these weeks!
