Summer is here and keeping your dogs hydrated is crucial. On very hot days, please pay extra attention to take care of your dogs! Being mindful, alert and careful, can help keep them comfortable and well.
Whilst the chart below refers to the total daily water consumption your dogs need daily, including water from food sources. During summer months some dogs may tend to drink more and some the same as always, so the guideline given, should be a rough gauge of total consumption. But this is just a guideline. Some dogs, depending on age, activity level, location of where they are living, country they live in, may not even consume near as much as indicated in the chart.
Never ever force dogs to drink, but keep an eye to make sure they are drinking and ALWAYS have plenty of fresh water easily available for your dogs. They know best and will drink when needed, so long as there is water easily accessible.
