Our slogan is to grow more with less. 🤗🌱

What does this mean? 🤷‍♀️ We want to grow more food with fewer resources, meaning less water, less fertilizer, and less land. Our Vertical Farm does not use any chemical pesticides ☠️ 🙅🏽‍♀️ and can produce 24/7 all-year-round. 🌿☀️❄️

YASAI at ETH Thanks Giving Event 🌿

We were honored to be a part of this lovely event which was held at the end of June at the ETH. 🤗 Mark, our CEO was able to give a short presentation to the 150 guests that evening. 🎤

The hall was filled with many ETH donators, which was another great opportunity for us to make an appearance there as an ETH spin-off and startup. YASAI herbs were presented in our jars on the tables as decoration and packaged as giveaways for people to take home. 🌱

INTRODUCING YASAI'S VERY OWN...DILL! 💚🙌🌱

We are excited to announce that we finally grow and sell DILL! This is our third herb officially on the market. Dill is an absolute classic and goes great with all sorts of dishes like fish, potatoes or on top your favourite dips! 🍽

Here's to another of our very fresh new herbs grown on site at your Vertical Farm in Switzerland!🇨🇭 We can't wait to see them on the shelves! 🤩💚🌿

EVERY STEP MATTERS! 🌱☝️

After about 10-12 days in the Seedling Chamber, our herbs are ready to move to the Grow Chamber. We call this transition process "transplanting". 🌱🤲🏼

YASAI'S farming team performs this process carefully by placing the baby plants (which are now large enough) onto the floats to then be transported to the Grow Chamber. The change in cultivation conditions allows the herbs to grow further and healthier until they can be harvested 28-34 days later! 🌿✂️

This delicious local peppermint is now available in .ch shops all over Switzerland. 🙌

Just like the basil, we grow the peppermint in our very own vertical farm in Zurich. Needless to say, we don't use any pesticides here either! 🌱😍

We have room to share! 😍🤗  This is YASAI's headquarters at Lessingstraße! We believe in cross-fertilisation 🌿 and are now subletting desks/space to share our great space with other startups. Individual desks and/or larger office spaces are available depending on your needs. 🗄  We are located directly opposite Sihlcity on the riverbank, close to many different, innovative companies and businesses. Soon our pilot farm will be completed! ✅

At the beginning of next year we will put it into operation! The germination station already houses small seedlings. As soon as these sprouts are big enough to continue growing healthily, we move them to the growth chamber. 🌱

There, the final details will be sorted out and under constant care they will continue to grow uninterruptedly until the harvest. 🤩 🙌

At the moment YASAI is spending a lot of time on site at the pilot farm. Our farm manager, farm workers, construction experts from Switzerland, the Netherlands and Finland are all gathered and working diligently to finish the project so we can start seeding all levels of the Vertical Farm and watch the herbs grow. 🌿

Last week YASAI attended the WebSummit in Lisbon. Also known as "the best technology conference on the planet" according to Forbes. ⭐️

A week full of inspiration, insights & innovation. From talks by Chairman of Microsoft to Rapstar Tinie Tempah to the founder of Reddit, we learned the future will be digital & decentralised.

We met potential investors, business partners & smart individuals from all over the world! 🤩

Exciting things are coming up! Our pilot farm is under construction in a formerly abandoned warehouse in Niederhasli. We build our farms vertically, this one will be up to 8m high. With this project, YASAI demonstrates that it can build Vertical Farms anywhere in any unused urban spaces. Stay tuned... fresh, delicious herbs are coming your way.
