❌❌ THE REASON WHY RESCUE DOGS ARE NOT FREE ❌❌

UK rescues: Dogs are vaccinated, neutered if old enough, treated for medical conditions.

Overseas rescues: Dogs are vaccinated, including rabies and tested for other diseases not in UK, neutered if old enough, treated for medical conditions, issued with EU passport, put on DEFRA approved transport and many travel over 2,000 miles to the UK, some dogs fly to UK.

An awful lot more goes into caring for each dog, and those costs are not passed onto the adopter!

Adopting a dog is not about getting a "bargain" but helping a dog get a new life. ❤️

🌱Our sweet sensitive Lola did not have a good start in life. She was either born with half a tail, or maybe lost it in an accident. Lola, her mom Tsika and her brother were left in a mountain as many dogs are in Macedonia. Instead of spaying the dogs, people here get rid of them in the cruelest ways. Luckily they found shelter with a beekeeper that was feeding them irrelegularly. It's not a surprise that Lola grew up to be a little anxious

☃️She has been in UK🇬🇧 for months but her current adopters feel that a city environment just makes her anxiety bigger. She is very gentle and sweet. She is a special dog that won't come to you right away but when she starts trusting you it will be the most rewarding experience.
We are looking for someone to show Lola that she is safe and she can relax. It can be adoption or foster with view of adopting but we know that the right person is out there for Lola.

💙This gorgeous bear was rescued with his siblings and mom when he was a baby. His mom was shot, luckily it wasn't serious, and while rescuers were looking for her to help her, she lead them to her babies. All the babies and mom were adopted in 🇬🇧 and Rocky (previously Loki) travelled very young, when he was only 4-5 months old.
Due to change in circumstances, his family has to give him away as they feel that Rocky deserves more walks, outside time, more attention which they can not provide at the moment.

💙Ideally we are looking for a home with experience with giant dogs, maybe rural but it is not a requirement. We just want to find the right person that accepts that a big dog of 60kg can be unusual sight and some dogs (and dog owners) will find him intimidating. Rocky is a friendly dog, he has spent almost all his life in a house where he was getting love and attention, and we know he will make a great addition to someone's life. We'd really hate to take him back to Macedonia as he probably no longer remembers the life in a shelter and it will come as a big shock to him🤞

‼️This month is 50602 denars =$ 720‼️ The adopted dogs have help from their adopters, but we are struggling with the rest.

Even though we covered one part with the donations from Auctions and some individual donations for the. food for the local stray dogs, it’s still not enough 😣

🙏Does anyone wants to help us with the food for the sanctuary dogs? These dogs will stay in our shelter for the rest of their lives. These are the dogs that no one wants. Not in UK nor Europe. These dogs carry chronic disease or a chronic problem, but that doesn't mean that they don't deserve a good meal like the rest, it doesn't mean that they don't have the right to live. 🙏

❗️No matter how full are our capacities, we will never give up on them. This is their home

At the moment in this group also belong Petranka, Buster, Max, Mila, Panda, Sammi because no one has applied for them for a long time now even though they are young dogs.❗️

🥣To all these dogs we provide daily excercise on our property of 3000m2 and they sleep on a warm, safe and clean place. They are everyday in contact with us and the other dogs and have almost normal lives (the only ones isolated are Klemka because of dog agression and Johnny because of agression after seizure)

❗️We have adjusted our lives and moved here so we can be 24/7 with them but the monthly food supply is always causing us worry. Every month when we realise that only few bags are left, we panic because we get very little donations for food😣

🆘We know it doesn’t sound urgent and this is why people don’t donate but it’s an important cause🙏🙏🙏 These dogs will never have normal family lives and will never feel individual care and attention 😣 We have the obligation to at least provide a meal every day ‼️

We know January is rough for everyone, but as little as $1-2 can go a long way 🆘
With $2 = 500gr food you can feed Alma and Max for a day
With $5 you can feed Klemka, Johnny, Bob, Sammie, Rosa and Meto for a day🙏 It’s the little things🆘

This fluffy baby is looking for a home. She was found on the street with Zhu Zhu, Pumpkin and Toto and we don’t know if they are related. A female dog comes to one lady, and the dog is very badly heart by a person, probably hit with something. This lady is telling us that it was as almost the dog was begging her to take care of her babies.
Sadly the dog died very soon,💔but this lady really found these 4 puppies and she took care of them as much as she could ❤️

They are now safe with us and only Cookie is left not adopted. She is a cheerful girl, a bit bossy, she shows Toto and Zhu Zhu that she is eating first!
Loves people and sees cats as something that is supposed to play with her😂Luckily our Rambo is understanding and kind☺️

She was reserved but due to unforeseen change in circumstances of her adopters she is now available again

Yesterday we saved a puppy named Albert who has a rare condition called puppy strangles.

Puppy strangles is believed to be a result of an overactive immune response, but what triggers this response is still unknown. The skin, especially on the face, becomes infected with deep sores. These sores can become so severe that the inflammation reaches the lymph nodes of the neck causing the area to swell with hard knots under the jaw until it looks like the baby dog will be strangled—hence the name.

Thankfully, this isn't the first time RPM has saved a puppy with this rare condition and we have a treatment plan and medical foster lined up for Albert! He may be in pitiful condition now, but he is safe and on the road to recovery with the help of our medical team and his foster.

Stay strong, Albert! You've got this, sweet boy.

The vet called us few nights ago telling us that some people were demanding euthanasia for a 7 months old puppy just because they didn't want to deal with his skin problems. 😞
People here want a dog that never gets sick and as soon as any problem occurs they want to ged rid of them as soon as possible.
We were very upseat by these news were trying to delay the euthansia as much as possible until we free some space in the shelter because our capacity was at maximum.
In the meantime we demanded a test and yesterday we finally took this poor boy and started the treatment.
When we took him he was chained in the garden and we realized that he this is how he has spent his life.
His skin is completely covered with wounds and cloths and the smell is terrible. With every touch he is crying

Baxter is only 7 months old.

We have no idea what is the reason for his condition. He is positive for Ehrlichia Canis that is being treated but this should not cause such a sever skin inflammation
His whole skin is PINK. There is not one place on his little body that is not affected. Clogged blood all over the fur and on top of that fleas. It's obvious that Baxter has been suffering for a long time

We started to treat him immediately. He got a good trim of 1.5h at the vet, then we gave him a long long bath another 60 minutes of gently trying to remove the dirt.
The clogged blood was washed away although not entirely since it's just too much

We really hope that is nothing serious, but if this is not improving we will have to look at firther testing, possible biopsy

We need a lot of help for Baxter, it's going to be a long recovery
One shampoo bottle is already spent and we will need

- Special food for skin sensitive to allergies 40£
