Peach was on candy duty, made some new friends and handed out puppy bags! We had 5 pups come to visit.
Rolo filled Osiris shoes with stegosaurus, and Elsa….she was just a pumpkin 🤣

Rolo and I had an awesome morning!

Thanks to our good friend and fam for coming out to show support for this fun contest and for our goodies! She got us the frenchie goodies while supporting a raffle for a pug rescue which I think is really awesome.

Out of close to 20 contestants, maybe more, there were 5 categories.

Rolo and I won best duo for Sully and Boo from Monsters inc!

We saw So many awesome costumes and it was great to get out to have some fun with the doggos.

Story time! It was the sweetest thing and I just had to share.

Dogs are smart.

We have a toy rotation because they tend to get bored playing with the same things.

Last night I brought out the balls.

Rolo had his favorite ring, Portia was happily playing with a ball. I rolled it for her, somehow she missed it. I don’t know how, it was only 2-4 feet away. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Rolo was very impatiently waiting for me to release him to chase after it while she looked around like a dork, even looking directly at it a couple of times. I finally gave up and let him run for it (still had ring in his mouth).

Portia was only about 2 feet away from the ball. Rolo ran over to the it and did something completely unexpected. He usually tries to double up on toys but not this time!

He knew Portia was still actively searching for the ball. He sniffed the it, looked up at her and rolled it to her, then ran back to me to throw his ring. She happily grabbed her toy and pranced around like a little proud pony.

It’s one of those “pictures or it didn’t happen” moments. Unfortunately I do not have photos or video but I was so blown away especially due to his high drive with toys. I guarantee it’ll never happen again. He does frequently point things out but it’s never as heartwarming as that.

The dogs love tennis balls but I DONT. Theyre really hard on dogs teeth, the fibers wear them down like sandpaper. Not to mention they’re easy to puncture and rip apart so there’s risk of obstruction and the mess is annoying. If you take them to the beach they can get covered in sand which leads to even more problems.

So in case you were wondering, these are the balls we prefer. They’re also easy for the dogs to pick up no matter the size!
Yes they break over time but they last longer than tennis balls for us!

We took Peach out to haymarket to get a view. Although we couldnt see the northern lights, the iPhone could and that’s pretty awesome
